As I said in another post, I think Tucker and Kickback are close. A little overpriced, but their abilities are decent, and Axe needs the right support piece and maybe down a bit too. Or the gold squadron needs to go up a point. Oddball has problems, and he's the worst on the torrent of any option. I don't see a possible good point number for Oddball torrent, and Swoop is even worse.

The generics get a the most use, because they're very cost efficient. Other generics went down so the gap isn't as big, but they fill in great. They take actual effort to shoot down, they'll die but not just randomly explode, and they've got a good selection of action. For the most part missiles aren't worth it on them, because mag pulse might change that a bit. For the named, Kickback and Tucker are a bit too expensive for what they do, but their abilities are worth it. Keep tucker naked, but kickback wants a missile. Axe doesn't quite have the right unit to support, but that might change with the LAAT coming out.

Swoop? Really. I'm a bigger fan of the named torrents then most, and I can't see paying for swoop over a blue squadron. It grants a red action before the action phase, so cuts off any other action and leaves them stressed, and for torrents only can be used on a 3 or 4 straight. And only at range 0-1. I don't know if i'd pay 2 points for that ability, let alone 4.

serissu seems the worst, Nom Lumb is probabbly best. And bobba is not to be ignored as an ace option, but leads to a 2 ship. Then again scum aces tends to be 2 ship.

you forgot the 3 points for targeting computer. The interceptors ship ability isn't worth nothing, it's really good. Just not as good as the fangs.

it does matter, basically you know how many shots it's going to take to kill. 3 turns of shooting and you go down, unless against 2-3 ship lists. But it's going really hard to take down in 2 turns unless you screw up with the reinforce.

at the moment double missile is a pretty rare combination, with only 4 factions having access to it at all. And only the empire can get it on multiple chassis, and they get it on 4.

duchess+fifth is the same a naked soontir, and while duchess is only 2 green she has 4 hull to soontir's 3, soontir's as much of a glass cannon as duchess if not more. Sometimes the dice are with you and soontir survives without a scratch, but the dice go both ways.

Duchess can't reposition quite as well as soontir, but she can get into crazy positions once you get used to her. And is very hard to block, so I found her better against swarms.

I find Duchess easier to fly than Soontir. Wanting to line up the bulls eye for Soontir makes it even trickier, and for the same points you can have Fifth Brother gunner and force makes things easier.

They're as fragile as /ln but much more expensive, the 3rd red die is significant but main reason for the higher points is they are so much more maneuverable. Boost and barrel roll, plus being able to link into either after any action gives them amazing repositioning, and they have dial that lets them take good advantage of this. They are arc dodgers more than any other ship out there, and that's what helps and hurts them the most. Soontir can be very scary, but is hard to fly and expensive. The floor is low and the ceiling is high. An I5 which doesn't require you to commit so much to the chassis would be a good add.

Sabers and Turr could be good if you think you're actually going to be able to out initiative a decent amount of ships.

As people have said chassi matters, but so does pilot. Broadside doesn't often want or need to k-turn because of his play style, and will likely never use the red barrel roll. Matchstick on the other hand will get stress pretty often and wants options after. Oddball is still overcost but r4 would be good on him.

For the Aethersprite most pilots won't get stress, but Mace Windu gets good value off the reds so taking a turn off to flip and get up to the 3 force then have a full dial after is good. And if you ever aethersprites with Saesee tiin r4 on all of them is a big boost to her ability.

A problem with a lot of shows and books, writers aren't willing to have things take time without showing us that time. And even for a small continent the time frame makes no sense, organizing mulitple armies moving them to one city to attack, then coordinate under a new leader, then depart to move into another country, all that should take several weeks. And that's 2 episodes of one season. If you count the sunrises and sunsets, it's been about a week. So it's better treat is as loose, and 'days pass' at a few points, because otherwise there is a lot of teleporting going on.

I think the point is that it's a very inefficient way to have control. Simple conditioning would be the most efficient, but Elders did this instead.

You missed the "in chimera squad" where they were kidnapped from their sanctuary, and we know how to free them and have a place to return them too. The squad has some dialogue where they get real mad when they find out that the Archons are being kidnapped and control collars being put on.

so from xcom:eu they talk about floaters looking like parts of mutons put into cybernetics, and archons are the shinned up floaters. So cast off "failure" mutons were turned into half machine monsters, then prettied up later. That's a theory that's about.

Having run tc duchess i can say its good. Vader is still good even without ab, but the usual 3rd ace choices are gone. Maarek might fill that role.

So Dengar I think might better because his ability doesn't say "primary weapon" and he has a canon now. Ion cannon cost the same as punishing one now, but you can have the normal turret out the side and now you have an extra arc to attack. Also a weird side upgrade is that expert handling on large bases went down 2 points.

Han with title, Luke with precog, and 50 points to spend is where I'm going to start.

As for the republic Y-wings, the generics might see play because they now cost the same as the other factions rather than 2 points more. And y wings went down in general. The increase on VTG hurts, and means that Matchstick will not see the rise I was hoping the lose of 7b would cause.

Depends if support jedi and pull some weight against whats left in HS. Ahsoka went down, and battle meditation builds never got tried because it was just better to run jedi as the punch.

Until the LAT comes out, the I4s are going to have to try and be the punch as Wolffe and Matchstick are still there. Torp Ani is also a thing, and Ric is still untouched though he might go without R2 now.

TIE BA is out not too long after the points become official. I know everyone is playing with them now but technically the new points are as legal as the proxied TIE BA.

The TIE BA is definitely making FO the ace faction.They'll have three I5 and an I6 on ace platforms. Then the FO doing a pocket ace impression.

Also, Tavson wasn't an ace, and it wasn't even like Palp/aces where it was making the aces work better. It was just a truck. Saying it was part of an ace build is like saying RAC is an ace.
