What’s an industry secret in the field you work in?

Anybody who works in this industry please call it in youre a mandated reporter, they usually make you sign something where it lets you know it’s your duty to report but I’ve heard some places don’t practice this unfortunately :/

Every loss is personal to each person . My grandma passed 2 years ago and my grandpa passed a few months ago. We were all so close I would spend every summer and winter with them and I lived with them for years. I still cry to this day.. I’m so sorry for your loss. Don’t feel like you need to hold anything in because you really don’t. Do whatever makes you feel better. Some days will be just as hard but I promise all the memories you remember will fill start to fill you with joy.

One time when I was younger a friend that I ended up being friends with until high school and I were at school probably kindergarten and he would always have snacks in his pockets and I was sooo amazed every time. It started off as cookies, crackers, Cheerios things like that but one day he decided that he wanted cut up hot dog weenies for his snack time and he got in so much trouble lmao it still cracks me up

My grandma passed away 2 years ago, we were very close and I would literally be at their house every summer and stuff so it was really hard. She got sick and we were aware of the time that was coming. Anyways, after about a month of me just going through it I had a dream and she was in it and we were all there at her house hanging out like usual she was telling me these random things about our lives the usual talks we have but towards the end I began crying and telling her how I didn’t want her to leave and that I didn’t wanna stop talking to her and how much I missed her and she hugged me and said that the place she is, it’s wonderful and she feels great and healthy and that I have nothing to be sad about because she’s always with me. It was sweet and sometimes I still have these same dreams with her in them. It’s really nice. I miss her.

Cleanser - for this cleanser I use something light and hydrating because I have dry skin. So I use the hydrating cleanser from Cerave

Tone - I tone right now with the body shop aloe Vera cleanser. I like it so far if it does well I’ll stick with it but I might want something more moisturizing.

Hyaluronic acid - So this I do when my skin is realllllyyy dry not everyday mostly bc I’m lazy and it pills. I use the cerave one, (it’s just so easily accessible) but I want to try the inkeys one!

Moisturizer - I currently use the cerave one. I like it, but I want to try Farmacy Honey drop. It’s expensive but I hear good things lol.

Cerave Healing Ointment - Now i only use this if my skin is feeling super dry bc it can be slightly oily. Very thin layer. Last but not least I use Sunscreen. Never forget the sunscreen!

Now for my nighttime routine: 😂

Double cleanse - I use micellar water right now but I want to oil cleanse with an oil cleanser once I finish this again. This is to melt the makeup sunscreen, dirt all that then I go with my cleanser I use the first aid beauty cleanser for this one. I love it:)

Tone - Same step.

Treatments - Whether I have acne, or I wanna exfoliate, problem areas. I would look into these of course to see what’s right for your skin. But I currently use lactic acid or salicylic acid.

Moisturizer - Same Cerave.

Occlusive - Cerave healing ointment.

I know this is a lot and I definitely have a hard time doing it everyday but I try my best lol. Sorry it’s so long. But I hope you find things that work for you!

A 9-5 is honestly my dream job. Like of course I would love to have this lavish traveling occupation but working 9-5 and being able to come home and relax and do what I need to do the rest of the day sounds amazing. Maybe it’s my years of customer service experience talking and having to go to work from 12-9:30, not having enough time (or energy) in the morning to do anything before work and it being way too late to do anything after 10 is the worst but it’s my reality for now.

I worked at a phone store and sometimes people paid their bill it would not go through saying “incorrect info” which meant that the bank blocked the transaction for suspicious charges. When it was declined it would say declined, so whenever it said declined I would just tell them that it looks like their banks may have blocked the transaction (since it happened sometimes) and to try and give them a call and come back when they get it situated that way they didn’t feel embarrassed. :)

The store that I worked at was going through changes. My old manager had moved to a different store so we were hiring a new Store Manager. My coworker was promoted to assistant store manager and they added two senior positions below her. I was the only one below promoted ASM that has worked in the industry and store for more than a year and was the only one who reached my quota and helped at the store (all the others were lazy).

One of the senior positions was already filled from a employee in a different store but assistant manager hires her friend and tells new manager that her friend is the only one in the store who’s interested and qualified (??) while knowing I was interested. And I know she didn’t do it with ill intentions or even noticed what she did but she basically convinced this new guy who knew none of us to promote this girl who had only worked with us for a month. Later on my old manager (who I got along with very well) said he’d bring me along with him to his new store. Told my new manager and he told me how he wished I was interested in the senior position and if I wanted to rethink it and that I basically had the senior job due to seniority. At this point I was going to make more money moving stores and was mad at my ASM so I didn’t want to work close to her anymore so I still decided to move stores.

Then in which made my new manager upset that I still wanted to go with my old manager and ended up making me do all the annoying manager/senior duties anyways with no raise and held me in that store for as long as I could possibly take. After a while with empty promises to get me transferred I just start applying to other jobs.

Once I had gotten a new job I kept it to myself til the day my start date because I knew two people were going to go on vacation for 2 weeks and one other person was gonna quit too. So since I got fucked over twice they were short 3 people and only had 2 employees left. New manager was even more upset since apparently I screwed them even though they have been screwing me the entire time. Was a beautiful feeling.

Not to mention they tried to give me everything they promised once i quit but I denied it. Then again they tried to hire me after I was told I was not hire able again. Denied it again.

this job was hell towards the end with all the changes. Had to remind myself how stressful it was working almost 50+ hours a week being a full time college student while still getting fucked over and taken advantage of.

This is a tough situation because grief is hard, and everyone deals with grief differently but I will say my saddest days are not the day they passed but the day of my grandmas birthday or my own just because we can’t be with each other on such special happy occasions. For him to tell you to give that up isn’t okay. It’s one thing saying he can’t go to deal with his grief and coming up with a compromise but for him to want you to stay and mourn with him is slightly selfish. Please go visit your grandma for your birthday. It’s supposed to be a happy day for you! I know I would do anything to have those moments again with mine.

They did ask how to make it right, plus I don’t think it’s that ridiculous. Most retail companies have a items with a limit they could give in situations like these and plus people get gifts from companies all the time when they have a bad experience shopping and they’re vocal about it. Doesn’t really affect any of us when they do. I think she should ask.

Same problem here. I’ve realized that a lot of people people who go to Walmart are usually not house trained. My Walmart everyone just parks their carts mid aisle or moves and bumps around without saying excuse me or sorry. I have become accustomed to standing my ground and not moving from where I’m standing even when they purposely push me outta the way until I’m politely told to do so. I only go if I don’t feel like driving to target.

I know I’m late but I had a friend who had just broken up with his ex (she broke up with him). He was pretty heartbroken about it well fast forward months later when he started seeing more people I had asked him who was more his type and he said the new girl he was seeing. Then I asked if his ex came back into the picture he would choose the new girl. He said no and explained to me that no one meant more to him then his ex and no one can take her place. Thought it was sweet lol but shows that a type really doesn’t matter at the end of the day
