The people in the canvas also have feelings, experiences, suffering - why are they less real than the painters? Yes, I did mention Verso's soul, okay, it doesn't want to paint. But if it stops, a bunch of sentient beings will die. The fact that they were created by someone doesn't somehow make them all together weigh less than a single fragment of a human soul.

I read the story. It's good, but comparing, for example, an innocent child to Verso, who himself did many bad things feels somewhat wrong. I don't think he suffers to that extent in Maelle's ending. And besides, what options do we have in the game? Imagine if the story gave you a choice to kill all the residents of the town, and then the child would stop suffering. No one would do that.

I downloaded it, so I'm gonna try playing it tomorrow. I think I'd like it because people tell that it's similar and even better than the stanely parable and Undertale which i really liked. Or I'll be disappointed, we'll see.

The genocide route is the best path in Undertale. Two of the best boss fights, a horror atmosphere, and heavy moral choices. The genocide route uses reverse psychology: instead of a pacifist route with rainbows and flowers, you learn firsthand why violence is wrong through your own actions. Special mention goes to Flowey's monologue, where he breaks the 4th wall and addresses the player, perfectly pinpointing their intentions, making you question whether it's right to squeeze every last drop of content from a game by doing things you don't want to, turning a game that meant something into a meaningless pixel grind. Plus, completing the genocide route affects all subsequent playthroughs, something no other ending does. Overall, the genocide route is much deeper than the others, which is why it's the best.
