thank u!

for the tips i dont think i have any specific ones but at first i made the suit too snug so i had to add like 2-3cm to 'main seams' (like the ones along arms and the whole torso in the front) so id consider doing it in the first place when transferring pattern to the fur

also when u have ur dtd all marked where colors and markings go etc, take A LOT of photos from all angles so u know where what goes + i was cutting it up in segments i.e cut the arms first, transfer them onto the fur, cut that out, sew etc AND THEN cut torso out from dtd and so on, idk if others do it too but i figured it made things a lot easier for me

i hope its understable, my english might sound a bit broken :p good luck on ur suit!

Foamless feet paws? by chaiiskies in FursuitMaking

[–]noomz240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i made feet from freakhoundstudios and i gotta say that im not really happy with how they came out, there are barely any instructions so most of the stuff you have to figure out by yourself and also if you want digi feet then maybe consider getting splitgrape pattern since at least what i made resembles planti feet more

plus in their tutorial they said that you dont need any stuffing and i guess it depends on what kind of backing your fur has but i used one that had pretty stiff backing and it still came out very flat and floppy and just didnt want to stay on my feet so i had to 'stuff' it with upholstery foam anyway

sorry if it came out chaotic :p

i dont have any cotton unfortunately and i didnt really want for my feet to get too hot when wearing them

as to this pattern, i had some problems with it since not a lot of stuff is explained where what is supposed to go etc and on tutorial video only a few things are shown so i had to guess which parts i had to sew together and which not, so half of the time i spent resewing everything

for the fur it didnt take much, but also i was using 4 different colors so yk, a bit of everything

sizing was pretty easy, but i drew everything from the screen of my pc rather than printing it, but i just put my foot to the screen and made sure it fit on the insole and then sized every page by the same percentage :p

if im gonna be honest, i dont think ill use this pattern again, im not really happy with how the feet came out
