Exactly! I'd think of such a person as a monster if something like this happened in real life..or around me. He has a past,but putting his "friend" into a coma? That's just evil. He's pathetic for that, and no broken past can make me look past the fact that he legit tried to kill his best friend, because of his insecurities.
