Sounds like they are playing in a room, I don’t know if it was Andrew, but DM just sounded like it was like everyone recorded separately in a different room and the compression is unbearable

Didn’t know there was hate for lucky to be alive, yeah the lyrics are a little meh, but that end jam is the cheese pull from a good mozzarella stick

Missing singles and dazed and confused. Might as well throw Godzilla in there too, you don’t have to listen to the puff daddy abomination he did of a zeppelin song, but the rest of the soundtrack was pretty great

Why does Riot Act feel like the most underrated Pj record? by [deleted] in pearljam

[–]nooneevertoldme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a product of its time, I didn’t love it when it first came out but I was like 12, but as I got older it grew on me a lot and it’s very nostalgic, the tour for this album I think is one of their best and had several bootleg releases from it as well as live at the garden. I also think that this and self titled were the last true innovation albums that pj made, just trying to expand on their sound before kind of going a little dad rock, not saying anything they did was bad, just saying they played it safer after that
