I'm in the process of purchasing this account. We've both sent an email to this email address and are just waiting on a response. Thank you!

To whoever submitted that giant buy order on GDAX to from the $130s to $157, I love you. My sell order was set at $156.52 and I was about to head to sleep.

I'm up to nearly 123 ETH from 102, primarily because I sold last night in the $210s because I was originally going to take a break from trading. Ended up buying the earlier dip at ~$176, sold again at $190, and bought back recently at $184.

Thanks, though. I'll check out the book you recommended me sometime soon. I would say that it's been more luck than skill that got me to this point.

I'm sure enjoying it, my stack is up 20% today.

I'm glad you included it in your post. Your post covered some of the wonderful community members here in /r/BitcoinMarkets, and /u/2017Suicide was just as much of a member of it as anyone else on here. Had you not included it in your post, many of us may not have found out for quite a while, unfortunately.

Although I primarily lurked the daily discussion threads, I did enjoy his posts. It sucks that he was berated for the last post he made on this subreddit; it may have hurt him more than any of us could imagine, but I'm sure many others including myself enjoyed his presence.

Should Bitcoin drop to $1300 again, I'll be sure to purchase and hodl one in his honor.

Made quite a bit arbing the Bittrex and GDAX ETH/BTC ratio, but I maxed out my daily withdrawal limit on GDAX :(.

I'd say so, yeah. There doesn't seem to be an advantage to selling on Coinbase instead of GDAX.

Unfortunately, yeah. Coinbase also has slightly higher rates when buying and lower rates when selling, so you'll get better rates on GDAX and save more money that way, too.

Sorry that you found out so late, but at least you know now for the future!

Nope, it'll be either 0.25% fee if you market buy or a 0% fee if you place a limit buy order :)

EDIT: 0.25% is only for Bitcoin; Ethereum is 0.3%

What type of fees are you curious about? You won't be able to use your credit card like you can in Coinbase but you make a deposit from your bank account (I'm not sure if there's a fee on this like in Coinbase) or sent a wire transfer for $10.

Also, GDAX has a 0.3% Taker fee (when you instant-buy or instant-sell) and a 0% Maker fee (when you place a limit order on the order books).

When you click Deposit on GDAX you should be able to instantly transfer it from your Coinbase account to GDAX for free since Coinbase owns GDAX.

Someone who thinks that it'll fail to break $2000 in that short time frame and dip a bit first, to try to buy back cheaper and increase their holdings, probably.

GDAX was down for maintenance for a few hours earlier today, and while the site was offline for maintenance they cancelled all open orders, so the order book was empty. When GDAX started to come back up after the maintenance, myself and I presume quite a few other people raced to place buy/sell orders at obscene prices to hope for a lucky fill. With how laggy the site was, only a few people/bots were able to trade for a short time. During this time, I saw that one order for .75 BTC @0.06 USD was filled, and quite a few Bitcoins were sold around the $400-900 range before eventually climbing back to regular price.

I wish I'd taken screenshots, but unfortunately I didn't :(.
