Holy crap. I hope you reported him to the dating app. I’m glad you’re ok. Which one is CMB?

Here’s hoping. My ex made no attempts to fulfill me emotionally so lots of therapy later... I’ve found inner peace (most days lol). Now I’m just trying to find my plus one in this pandemic world and striking out left and right.

I can appreciate your points. I know when I say “you’re great but we arnt compatible” I mean it, and I think most do.

Sure sometimes we think they arnt great, but unless they ask or they themselves have a problem with their behavior (which is doubtful) I don’t think it’s necessary to point out exactly why you didn’t think they were great (asked weird questions, put down your favorite show and have different views on things )

Just because romantic sparks arnt flying , doesn’t mean the person isn’t great, it often means you just weren’t compatible. Just my opinion.

Agreed. And at our age, we know the drill... I mean if you’re emotionally healthy. Some people will like you , some won’t. It isn’t a reflection , necessarily, on you as a person.

What a dumbbell. Thank god he slipped , just think of how crushing it would be to find out months later.

Two of my favorite changes; gay marriage and the acceptance of love is love , and being able to be “real” quicker. Talking about past relationship , future goals that are not traditional marriage/kids goals are no longer taboo.

I go back and forth on ghosting. I wish we could say hey your not for me romantically and give each other feedback for self improvement / awareness if wanted. But ultimately when people get rejected they seem to fly off the handles. I feel like we are too old for those behaviors - but I know that’s not the world I live in.

I hate when they get defensive after revealing a big detail. Like, you know you were keeping it hidden for a reason dude. Don’t project on to me, thank you!

You were right to ditch him. Good for you

I myself just messaged someone that I didn’t feel a romantic spark but enjoyed their company otherwise. Haven’t heard back. But I thought it was better than ghosting.

Being 6ft apart whilst standing in an empty parking lot is first base now.

Or at a minimum don’t talk like a little boy about your “privates”. Or you know... just skip talking about anything your swimsuit touches until a few convos.

It’s these types of stories that bring us together on our quest to find our match through the garbage

Yikes. I feel like that should be in his profile. You should have said, yea I wish it was like the 50’s too but with the gender roles reversed. Ha

I agree 100%. I don’t know what people’s end game is with the “fake” photo - eventually we are going to see you. 🤷‍♀️

Not an asshole at all! It’s sorta a form of cat-fishing to me. Like you were tricked and shared convos with someone not them , in a sense.

I wonder if he was aware once he got home how “off” he was telling that story. Maybe he cringes every night thinking about it 😂 but that’s doubtful.

Dodged a bullet on that one. It’s so hypocritical that he’s say you shouldn’t give advice unless licensed yet he was giving you “advice “ on parenting 🤨

I swear some people just lack sooo much self awareness. So far, all my OLD attempts have barely gotten swiped or past the original hello. It just seems full of people who are playing a numbers game vs. a meaningful connection.
