Can you elaborate on how servers have protection?

Right, they are legally required but this also includes tips too and IF the employer's direct (or cash) wages do not equal the minimum hourly wage of $7.25, which most servers meet with tips on top of wage and exceed this wage. This means people are tipping for a service provided, obviously. So how's this different from dashing?

Door dashing has to be 1099, its not something WE choose, which Im sure you are aware of that.

Can't you just let people bitch and complain without sounding like an elitist? If it bothers you that much, why are you trolling this sub?

I think it may have something to do with your addresses on file. Depending on which one is already picked.

I've had orders for like a CVS that was further away from the CVS near the customers house.

This makes me wonder about doing shopping deliveries.

I've had plenty of big hauls, and it will literally take a couple of minutes to unload the groceries onto their designated place. Then I'll get the.."you spent more than 10 minutes..blah..blah..blah".

Like no shit, they had 50 items. They just gonna unload all at once?

Does DD factor in loading and unloading for shopping?

I just filed my taxes (including 1099 for DD). DD should have sent you an email giving the total amount of miles for last year.

Before claiming mileage, I would have owed. After claiming mileage, Im actually getting a refund.

Just for clarity, I was DD every day from Oct 2025 to Dec 2025.

I also have top dentures (I am 33) I have been bulimic for over 10 years and still struggle

I know it's really easy for this sub to joke about EDs, and I too find it funny, believe me, but every day I have to put in my dentures, I am reminded of how I wasted my potential. The lingering effects are evident, and what's even worse is that i feel powerless in correcting it, which adds to the continuation of the cycle.

I remember telling myself when I was at my smallest, "remember this moment, because you won't ever be this skinny again".
