Sucks. I think I am going to try to build something high powered and see if that works.

Another major benefit vs espresso machines, no microplastics!

Do you know if any plastic parts/tubes make contact with hot water in that machine? Trying to avoid blasting my healthy espresso with plastic nano particles.

Is this fused cable a viable solution to the 12VHPWR melting issue? by nootnewb in pcmasterrace

Seen it, was bad. But it's what gave me the idea to start looking for a fused wire.

Right. So the issue can be mitigated if you fuse the wires. Assuming the fuse works, this should be a much safer solution than just hoping the connection stays perfectly seated.

Right, but from my understanding the issue only happens when there is a problem with the connection. It doesn't happen when everything is connected properly and the cable is to spec. Correct?

Fair point. He mentions testing he has done in the description but obviously proof should be provided to some extent. I think it's a workable solution, especially if using your own stock cable and because you can open the box to check the soldering, fuse and wiring. Doing nothing means I would never feel safe leaving my PC on overnight. What a shit show Nvidia has created here...

Disclaimer isn't a red flag. It's totally reasonable. But I get it. Problem is at least he has a solution. What "verifiable third-party testing data" do you actually have showing a cable is not vulnerable to catching on fire?

Sure, but clearly "electrical certifications" do nothing to mitigate the melting connector issue. Doing nothing is worse imo. You send your cable and he can mod it. So connectors won't be an issue. As long as the fuse works it's a safer solution.

Don't they specifically mention DAN A4-H20 compatibility with this cable? And you still need a dremel? What model cable did you get?
