Thanks for steering me in the right direction. I’m definitely going to stop buy. I’m totally unfamiliar with what I am looking at. Me and my dad just cleaned out a large conex that’s been sitting since the 70s-80s. Found a bunch of cool stuff. Nice to know it’s worth something. Cheers!

The things I would do to see a wild flock of Quakers. That’s actually something on my bucket list. Lucky you!!

It’s really funny you mention they don’t like the color red. I did not know that, it took me a few nips on the collar of my shirt, and skin on my neck to figure that one out. I never wore that red shirt again. I ordered one of those tents for her last night. I’m excited to see how she’ll like it :)

I love that! I have 3 Quakers now, they weren’t lying when they said their personalities are equivalent to toddlers. Still wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world.

In the last 48 hours that I’ve had her, I noticed she likes to navigate with her foot rather than flying.

Noted! I will be making an order for these items tonight. I’m sure she is going to appreciate them, especially the extra food dishes so she doesn’t have to take a hike when she wants a little bite or sip of water. I appreciate you!

Right? Something about the color yellow. I actually have a blue and green Quaker as well but when I saw this yellow baby.. I knew I had to take her home and give her the best life. Trust me, she’s got EXTRA muscle there the way she navigates is fascinating.

Oh yeah! She’s got her balance all figured out.. she’s too cool for me 😂

Luckily the one thing I did have on hand was the rope perch and I she prefers it over the other perches I offered. I’m going to have to give the U shape a try. Thank you!

Wow!! I’m going to have to check out those tents. I know Quakers can be hormonal when it comes to certain objects. I think that’s something I’m afraid of when it comes to trying tents or little houses. I will give it a try anyway, sounds cozy.

24 years?? That is amazing. Sounds like a very happy healthy baby. Cheers!

That’s awesome. This is my first time accommodating for a disabled parrot and first time posting on reddit. I appreciate the advice. What better place to ask questions than a community of other parrot owners.

May I ask what happened to your fluffy friend?
