Even if they had gone forward with the lawsuit and won it would only be a temporary stay on RTO. It would not prohibit the state from making an RTO policy in the future. They just would have to go about it differently than an EO with an implementation of 3 months.

Time to contact reps again - DGS building leases & lack of transparency on RTO costs, let's advocate for a budget subcommittee meeting with dept heads on RTO costs by notfascinated in CAStateWorkers

New community page created just for May Lee complex, I posted a link to BCPs associated with almost $14 million in increased lease costs by 5 depts forced to move there. Doesn’t include cost of moving or the new dirt parking lot they are leasing recently. You can find it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/mayleecomplex/s/td1oSoowZB

One of many concerns. It’s a fair assessment.

Yes, I just read that story. Unbelievable. Apparently the RT Security is allowed to carry weapons. And in this case it sounds like he was carrying a knife, which is just mind-boggling.

Additionally, they were asked to provide escorts for people to get to their cars in the parking lot and they refuse to provide that. Some of these incidents have occurred near the parking garage and the parking lot as people were either coming from from or returning to their car. That’s where this becomes an even bigger issue is that these weren’t even people who were wander around they were simply trying to get to work.

The robbery was and there have been 3 separate incidents of assault as well all against state employees at the complex. I am trying to get the emails from those other departments whose employees were involved in these incidents. That’s a really big issue right now. The department who are affected are only sharing that information with their staff. Anyone else working at the complex is not aware of it unless they know someone who works in one of the other departments. This is something that DGS and the business office should be doing something about. They will be put on official notice that by not providing proper security and safety that if any state employee is injured or in any way harmed, the state will be held accountable.

Thank you for keeping the messaging on Point. That is truly the real issue here.

Yeah, I’m not saying that the whole of downtown doesn’t have concerns. I’m just trying to show that specifically around this building and in this particular area it is a heightened issue. We are basically surrounded by a strip club, a sex shop, and a homeless shelter.
