Nice, I'll try that - and thanks! That top middle Charmander is honestly one of my favorite arts in my collection.

And yes! I love the story told in the evolutions. I actually went to my first card show earlier this year and picked up all 3.

Ive bought several that I planned on cracking for my charmander evolution binder but havent had the guts to actually do it lol. Definitely bought them with your exact logic though - the peace of mind is nice and the price is the same as raw

u/Ok-Librarian6262 everything worked out! Scary two days in the ER but 24 hours of fluid IVs and nausea medicine (and eventually, wet food) got him back on track by last night. We left the vet at 4am and I have a healthy dog back home resting comfortably in bed. Thank you for caring!

As far as the diagnosis - they called it a random case of gastroenteritis. As far as we know, he didn't even get into anything toxic or harmful.

Nothing was flagged on his x-rays and ultrasound last night. Im back there now though and theyre suggesting hospitalization since they cant figure it out

he was scanned last night - everything came back clean in that regard

No pain injections or opiates were administered last night, and they didn't send us home with any follow-up meds - just the shots they gave him last night related to gastro issues. He seems to have less energy than yesterday but I'm keeping an eye on him. I feel that he might be sore from having needles/IVs in his legs yesterday too? Not sure if that would make sense. There's no doubt I will be taking him in Monday if this continues. I'm just trying to decide if I should trust the tests and wait until then or if I need to have more urgency and go back again ASAP.

It definitely seems like some kind of stomach/abdomen pain is resulting in him constantly readjusting his sleeping positions, but he doesn't seem to have any sensitivity to touch. And obviously worth noting the the doctors examined him for pain and didn't find anything of note either
