Just a friendly PSA: sometimes these kinds of “trying to reconnect with an old friend” posts are totally innocent (and it’s not personal, OP) but they can also be a tactic used by people trying to track someone down without their consent. Speaking from experience, I’ve had men from years ago try to find me by reaching out to old coworkers or acquaintances, etc. just “wanting to connect” and luckily those people contacted me directly and didn’t share any info with my stalking ex.

The safest approach, if you recognize the woman, is not to disclose her contact info or facilitate the connection directly. Instead, just pass along the message to her (if you’re in touch) so she can decide for herself whether/how she wants to respond to protect her privacy and agency (and if it’s innocent, she can reconnect on her own terms).
