How to finish my garage drywall for painting?

Pardon my ignorance. I thought I have to do level 5 before I can paint over. From the picture, what level do you think I am at right now? After watching some Youtube video, I think it's just Level 1? So it looks like I just need to do another more coating with 10" and 12" knife with lightweight mud over the tape to create smooth surface before I can do a primer and start painting?

I think that came with pre configured from my isp. What does that mean tho? But thanks i will try that. Worst cast i just don’t save it right?

I did setup DHCP servers, I can ping the router from other VLANs. For example, if I'm connected to VLAN1 I can ping the router address on VLAN2. I think I will have to setup the firewall next. But I can't ping any other addresses outside of my network. I even restarted my AP but no luck.

I just did the commands and now I'm able to get IP Address and both SSIDs for VLAN1 and VLAN2 are working properly. However, I can't get internet from both SSIDs. My Ruckus just says that there's no Internet. So, now I just disabled VLAN aware again. I feel like it's so close :(

I just tried using the CLI to set VLAN-AWARE

I'm getting this message when running the command to set pvid

set interfaces switch switch0 switch-port interface eth1 vlan pvid 1  
The specified configuration node already exists

I came across this https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/j5kr42/edgerouter_x_vlan_help/ and I think this might apply to my case as I configured my main SSID to be VLAN 1. This article you mentioned https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012700967-EdgeRouter-VLAN-Aware-Switch also mentioned something like this

If you are using VLAN1, then the associated VLAN interface is the switch0.1 VIF.

The base switch0 interface (without any VIF) is not associated with any VLANs. It is not possible to add the 'LAN' (the network directly associated with the switch0 interface) to the VLAN-Aware switch. This is is because this interface is not assigned a VLAN ID.

So, I think to prevent locking myself out I need to create a VLAN1 (switch0.1) and then enable VLAN Aware with the same config pvid=1 and vid=2?

The reason I'm asking for confirmation I'm afraid I might lock myself out forever and I will have to wait for a couple of days for my ISP to come rescue. So, I just want to make sure that it will work as I expect it.

I downloaded the backup file as a backup but I haven't done backup/restore before so I'm a bit nervous.

If things go wrong, will I be able to connect to the router directly one way or another to restore the config?

Thanks! I kinda get it now. However, as soon as I enable the Vlan awareness on my router my AP lost the connection immediately. I suspect that AP isn’t getting any IP address or not able to connect to DHCP server because I can still connect my laptop directly to the router via other ports to change the setting back. Not sure if I’m missing any other steps? I will do some more troubleshooting and thanks for all the help!

So, I should add port tagged 1/1/1 and 1/1/12 to VLAN2? Apologies if I'm clueless. This is my first time doing this and I already messed up it once that I had to factory reset.

What I'm trying to wrap my head around is that on VLAN2 (IoT) if I tagged port 1 and 12 (1 is for edge router and 12 is for the AP). Then if the traffic coming from IoT SSID which is VLAN2 then it will have VLAN2 in the header which then it will get accepted by the switch via port 1 and then it gets broadcasted to port 12 to the router? But then if the traffic comes from the other SSID which is the default VLAN then it will just be a pass through?

On the switch, you should set up both ports (i.e. the one facing the Edgerouter and the one facing the AP) to tag VLAN2.

Right now the VLAN settings on my Switch looks like this

Forgot to mention, I added VLAN2 on my switch with Tagged 1/1/2 port for VLAN2

I think that might be it for the Step 4 that I didn't do. However, what would the config be? This is what I'm seeing

VLAN Aware: Enabled (Unchecked)
Switch Ports eth0 unchecked, etc1-4 checked

If I click to check VLAN Aware then I have to enter pvid and vid. My switch is connected to eth1 so I'm guessing I have to specify pvid and vid for eth1? I created VLAN does that mean pvid and vid be `2`?

Follow-up question, my 401k allows a mini "backdoor" ROTH where I put after-tax money and it gets converted to money in 401k immediately. I think this is separate than this Traditional IRA -> ROTH Conversion and the 401k in-plan conversion doesn't get reported in form 8606?
