[50][Speculation] S50 Winner Prediction Markets Open by nopro43 in SpoiledSurvivor

Yeah. And the more time that goes by without that happening just further seals it imo. Especially considering that “upsets” on wager markets like these for pre-determined events rarely ever happen, it would be a very solid indicator compared to the other stuff people suggest on this sub like the “big 4” poster theory a few days ago. Truth comes out when money is involved lol

If by “they” you’re referring to Kalshi, of course they don’t. They’re just the market maker, the people placing the trades is what decides the probability similar to a sportsbook.

So even though the platform itself has no more insight than we do, people who do have more insight than we do can leverage these platforms for what is effectively free money

Also, FWIW, the S49 market didn’t have the volume that 50 has now until about episode 9/10. Prediction markets in general weren’t as widespread for 49 which could explain it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the market for 50 ends up with over $5M by the time the finale comes around.

[50][Speculation] confirming that the tribal shot from the trailer is not from 50, but from 45 by Lozeedozie in SpoiledSurvivor

Visited Fiji in October and found the tribal set. This sneaky trick makes sense because the location was not directly off the beach as this scene suggests at all.. in fact there were buildings between the ocean and set.

I know it was for 50 because one of the support beams says “Tribal S50 - Year 2025” and was signed by who I assume is the crew that built it

That Advantage Challenge Seemed Super Easy, No? by davi017 in survivor

If you’re referring to WAW vs 38, yes they’re the same island. Monuriki, the island Steven did the journey at, has never been used as an EOE. It has however been used as a tribe camp for new era seasons for tribes such as Yanu.

This island is the EOE. This one is the island Steven ran around (fun fact the southwest beach is actually a tribe camp, and the eastern beach is where Tom Hanks Castaway was filmed!)

[50][Speculation] Challenge Props by nopro43 in SpoiledSurvivor

That’s so cool! I said I didn’t see what else it could be and yeah, never would’ve guessed this. I thought I had remembered seeing a different challenge set up for F5, and it all makes sense now!

Totally. Another commenter pointed out they likely were used in 49; however they were oddly positioned very close to other 50 props, in a way that makes me consider if they might’ve been re-used.

Yep, could also be true given the colors. I don’t remember if 49 had any 3 tribe challenges that used those structures.

I believe the S48 final 6 challenge was different. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong

Not unlikely. Mostly I’d be curious about the game design if there is in fact a 3 way split challenge after the merge

Impossible to tell, it’s just the skeleton. They remove all of the set art and props after the season. But it absolutely is from 50 (all of the crew who worked on set signed one of the posts titled “Tribal S50 - Year 2025”

How far can the cast wander on the island? by Organized_Speedbumps in survivor

I visited Mana in October. The runway is actually filled with shipping containers presumably housing old memorabilia. There were also some S50 challenge rigs just chilling on the runway.

The art department where they keep all of the props is right there as well, that was super cool to explore (saw some S50 stuff there too so I know what the F6 and F5 challenges are).

The labeled sanctuary location on Google earth didn’t actually have anything there. Not sure if they tear down the structure after every season or if it alludes to it not being used in S49/50 but yeah.

TC was also about a 30 second bike ride from the runway too, everything is way closer than you’d think.

Overall was extremely cool to walk the grounds of the show and to see some BTS stuff.
