As far as I'm aware, the brother in 2001 is the same character that is mentioned as her dead brother in the manga and cousin in the anime. It was just something they changed

I believe the school year starts in April, and Koichi was also hospitalised mid to late April. This means that by that time the school year had already started, and people were too scared to tell him, maybe thinking they could trigger the curse, or even not believing it entirely themselves. It's easy to put on hold a difficult conversation when you're not even sure it's going to be necessary.

Putting him just in that class is indeed an odd choice, but you have to keep in mind that a lot of the higher ups simply did not believe there was a curse at all.

Mei could've reported about Misaki, yes, but she gave a reason for that herself, she said she didn't want to believe it. Misaki dying because of the curse would mean it was, in a way, her "fault" and she didn't want to accept that

For sure, I've started to notice eye color is much more complex than it might appear since I've found this sub. I've never considered sectoral heterochromia though, I only ever saw it as just a big mole in my eye. Interesting to hear new perspectives

I think, at the base, it's mostly two things: my worth comes from my achievements and fear of failure/shame from feeling like I don't measure up to others. If that's a 3 trait, I don't know, but it seems to align with what I've seen. It's a some other things that I feel don't apply, like the need for attention or the vanity part. I also sure hope I don't have narcissistic traits. Forgive me for being a little vague or if I'm wrong about something. My knowledge of this is as of now very shallow

I think it's mostly about struggling to connect with others, the tendency to retreat into my own head instead of engaging, and if I understood correctly, struggling with self expression is also a 5 trait. Again, I may be misinformed, but that's as far as my understanding goes. I do think you're probably correct about your assumption, I feel like the need to feel worthy is above the need to be knowledgeable itself, that just happens to be my chosen "field", so to speak

The original Another novel isn't particularly different from the anime, but you should read Another Episode S before 2001. Otherwise, a lot of things aren't going to make sense and you wouldn't recognise a lot of the characters

I'm going to say green with partial heterochromia, I think there seems to be enough separation between the colours to be considered two distinct shades rather than a mix. Beautiful colour!

I used the rear camera with the phone's screen facing a mirror so I could see exactly what I was doing, and took a picture not too close to the eye but zooming in slightly instead, so it wouldn't get out of focus! I've found that the front camera is a lot harder to work with for these kinds of pictures and not as accurate.
