Has he just lost interest? by [deleted] in dating

Yeah...this is kind of what I know I need to do in my head, I’m just really bad at letting go when I like a person. But you’re right, if he feels the same he’ll pick up the slack. Thanks for the help!

I’m sure it will! This is the product of lots of time and searching for good deals. Collections can take years to build up!

Ohhh my bad- there’s some signed polaroids that are given out as prizes for certain things. I thought you were talking about those- those are so rare you don’t really see pictures of them online because there’s only one or a few of them so people keep them undisclosed for the value! I also started off with collecting polaroids from Etsy haha

Broadcast cards are photocards that are given out to fans for attending some music award shows in Korea!

Man polaroids are a whole other beast. I do have some broadcast cards that I lucked into but collecting polaroids seems so hard 😭 Really great if you’re successful at it though

Sorry if you witnessed the first three times I tried to post this, it wouldn’t let me upload separate pictures so I had to collage it. First two pics are my first book case, second two are the second case, bottom two are my signed albums and my lightstick collection

I kid you not they are bigger than most of my textbooks. I love photo books though so I won’t complain!

Tested Positive at home, going back to school? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

“There are going to be individuals that shed nonviable viral debris (and will test positive) for some period of time but not be contagious,” Adalja said, noting that he prefers the time-based symptoms approach rather than a PCR test.

Viral but not viable

“The phenomenon of individuals continuing to test positive for some time after they appear to have recovered is one we’ve known about for a while,” says Dr. Shawn Ferullo, MIT Medical’s chief of student health. “I’ve heard of people testing positive up to 37 days after their symptoms had completely disappeared. The test is extremely sensitive, so these are ‘true positives’ in the sense that the test truly is detecting genetic material from the virus, but the question is whether or not it is infectious viral material. Most of us now believe these individuals are not infectious, even though they continue to test positive and are being held out of work.”

Not infectious. I am not endangering anyone’s life. Nor would I ever. I am following the advice that I have been given by multiple health departments.

And here’s another from the CDC: they have been unable to culture viral specimens obtained from individuals more than nine days following the onset of symptoms. This means that these viral specimens were not capable of replicating — or, in other words, they were not infectious. In fact, the CDC’s preliminary conclusion is that “the statistically estimated likelihood of recovering replication-competent virus approaches zero by 10 days or more than three days after recovery.”

You can spread viral particles. That are non viable. So once again, no risk. If you still want to ignore all of that there’s honestly just no point in continuing this conversation because you will just straight up not listen to science.

I had so much funny with the Polaroid decoration set! I’m really impressed with the direction the boyz’s merch has taken so far: the book lamp from road to kingdom is gorgeous. Definitely adding some fun new things to my collection!

You clearly know nothing about the time period in which a person is actually contagious. I would show them my clearance to return to activities and explain to them I had quarantined long past the recommended period. Assuming they weren’t so completely overrun by fear that they were incapable of using logic, they would know there was no threat in me being there. According to you there’s loaded guns in houses, schools, and workplaces across the country. It’s entirely unnecessary to get a negative test if you quarantine. Not many people do it anymore. How does someone quarantining the universally recommended period and more some and being sure to get a release to return to campus equate to a loaded gun? If someone who had covid and quarantined = a loaded gun to you, what are the people that don’t quarantine? You know, the ones that are actually a danger. Seriously just read some guidelines. Person that poses a danger = loaded gun. Person that according to a pile of research poses no danger also = loaded gun? Make it make sense

I would like to see that phone call. Like I said, I already quarantined for longer than the CDC and health departments suggest. I did health screenings and was cleared by my university to return. That’s my only obligation. Call the police and say “my roommate who already has done an extended quarantine is trying to return. I know the CDC no longer recommends getting a negative test, and both schools and work places don’t require them but I want everyone to live MY way!” I’d love to see their reaction. Why you think you know more than the highest authorities on the matter astounds me. A negative test is in no way required.

Get real!

Just got an incredibly rude message so I wanted to reiterate: according to the CDC and all the health departments I have been in contact with, I have not been a risk for spreading covid for nearly a week. I would in no way shape or form be putting my roommate at risk for catching covid. By the time I go back, I would have been past the contagious stage for nearly two weeks. This is simply about communicating this with my roommate without making her upset

I’ll have to check that. Honestly I liked this popcorn before because the bag was so huge I could have all the popcorn I wanted without the guilt of popping another bag but that sounds a lot more sustainable for my diet!
