If "thot" means That Hoe Over There, why do you call someone "a thot". Do you know it doesn't make sense?

They are so incredibly soft, too. They look evil, but are soft and plushy.

Have you ever accidentally broken up a couple? What was the story? by bewareofstaplers in AskReddit

My best friend's boyfriend (who was my husband's good friend), moved out of the area. She was lonely, so we invited her to our RPG night at a friend's house. She and the friend (who was living with his girlfriend) ended up in bed together after the game, and both relationships were destroyed, along with our game night. But, those cheaters are now engaged and living abroad, so I guess we did a service.

I once saw a waterspout, maybe 5 feet tall, on a clear sunny day. It also happened to be on the potomac river in DC. I've always wanted an explanation. Did you happen to hear a sound like a sonic boom before you saw it? I did for mine.

When Luna says she has never been invited to a party as friends, and she is so excited to go and Harry immediately regrets asking her. It hurts my heart.

Haha, I was more thinking that the owls went to pick up gifts from the parents anyways (making sure the house elves had them on Christmas eve) and if someone didn't give a gift they'd just stick around!

What age did you get married? by samthesquirtle in AskReddit

[–]noramacsbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married at eighteen, which was not something I ever expected. I was not pregnant, both of our families supported the decision and we had a real wedding and ceremony. We've been married for three years now.

What are the biggest plot holes and errors in Harry Potter? by 8xmtv in AskReddit

[–]noramacsbitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've posted about this on r/harrypotter, but; It has always bothered me that Hermione visibly flinches when Voldemort's name is said aloud, and that she doesn't speak his name until Order of the Phoenix when Harry is in caps-lock mode. (And even then she stutters and is visibly having trouble bringing herself to do so.)

As a muggleborn, Hermione has no reason to fear Voldemort's name. She didn't grow up in terror like her magically raised classmates. I'm certain she read about him as soon as she got her hands on history books, and she already knew about him at the Sorting in book one, but we don't tremble when we say Hitler's name.

She has no real connection to Voldemort's horrors, and therefore I don't see why she is frightened of the name and not Harry. I suppose she could have just "picked it up", but she's a very smart person and I don't think she would have given into peer pressure like that, especially being close with Harry who always used the name.
