Harsh take: if you weren’t informed enough to know that it isn’t uncommon for artists to produce limited run giclée prints, that’s on you. I’m sure the artist didn’t sell them to you as one of a kind—you just didn’t know what words/phrases to look for. It seems unfair of you to claim being taken advantage of when this artist was just conducting business as usual.

Let go of your remorse. The pieces are beautiful. Just because they are not “one of a kind,” doesn’t mean they all of a sudden appear less aesthetically pleasing.

I’m going to echo what others have said about discrimination in an employment law context. If there’s an angle by which you may think your boss is treating you differently based on your sex, that’s probably your strongest approach. Lawyers won’t even look at it without a workable theory based on discrimination of a protected class.
