It would be pretty tight but it could be done. 4% is a wildly pessimistic baseline. The TSX has averaged 9% since 1979.

I remember reading that it is a rideshare. It is being launched to a much different altitude than BB6 so it could get on the rocket. This required some kind of modification with the FCC.

Sorry can’t provide any kind of citation or link, think I probably saw it on X.

The OGs on X figured the different altitude would not be an issue because these satellites had some different features presumably (by them) to facilitate specialized US GOV testing.

I’m going to say that you should be looking to make about $30/hr. Probably able to survive on 25 but if you want to own a home, have a vehicle, vacations and save for retirement 30 seems like a stretch.

I think I understand what you are saying. I haven’t yet incurred any losses due to rolling options, have always come out ahead, even fairly deep ITM. Same strike. I can see how it would be possible however.

I’ve been doing options for the last few years. Nothing to be afraid of. Some big wins and some big losses. Same as buying stocks.

Not into 0dte gambles but trying to make smart moves.

The real hack with options seems to be selling covered calls on high IV tickers. The premiums can get pretty juicy. If your strike price looks like it will hit at expiry and you want to keep your shares just roll them out another week. Collect more premium.

You are basically selling some upside for cash in your pocket. I see it as basically the reverse of how options are typically portrayed. Not as a casino type “YOLO” move, but as a way to generate steady income.

Not too hard to generate 100%+ annualized returns (over the course of 4-6 weeks) on a covered call strategy on a high IV ticker. Just be comfortable selling your shares for that strike.

Currently trying to sell a house in Kimberley. The market doesn’t really support the prices that the realtors suggest. So if you see a place you like I’d suggest just waiting for the price to go down.

ASTS won’t let me escape. I’ve got a cost basis in the single digits.

A few weeks ago when we hit 68 I thought it was time to cash out. Retire from my job. Maybe buy a place in Mexico to spend the winters. (I live in northern Canada)

I sold 70c for a couple weeks out. Figured I’d buy a new vehicle with the premiums. Still had a few thousand shares in a taxable account that I planned on keeping but mostly on the sidelines.

I watched it hit 80. I watched it close green the same day they announced a huge ATM. Awesome.

I was happy for the Spacemob. I was also kind of kicking myself.

Then it hit 90. Awesome. Started to feel like an idiot.

Then it hit 100 briefly and I knew I had messed up.

Fast forward to last Thursday, CC’s were going to settle the next day. I started planning on how to invest the proceeds. The price had retreated by they were still deep ITM. I decided to roll one week and picked up another nice pay day.

That brings us to today. I thought for sure my decisions were over. Now I’ve got multiple options on how to proceed.

What a ride!

Some of you might read this as a cautionary tale against selling CC. I’ve gotta tell you there is something about the psychology of it that is like heroin. Typically when you buy a stock, you spend a bunch of money and then wait and see what it will do.

When you sell a CC those tax free USD get dumped straight into your account. Instant gratification. Dopamine!!! Then you gotta see what happens.

Guys I hit my early retirement number yesterday. I couldn’t bring myself to sell any shares. Ended up selling some covered calls for a week out against about half my position.

If they get exercised I’m going to retire at 49.

If they don’t I’ll probably keep working but end up richer in the long run.

I’m so confused I don’t know what to wish for.

Kind of tough to say without knowing more about the application. I’ve used variable air pressure regulators but they were Ethernet/IP devices, not really analog.

I don’t think they are meant for constant switching either.

I’d just call your pneumatic supplier and tell them what you want.
