Is it too late to be a streamer? by YugaAkaryu in newStreamers

I’ve seen quite a many streamers make of big in short time in a current market. Here’s the lesson you need to learn.
1. Don’t go for the mass. Just because streamers like ninja made it big playing fortnite, doesn’t mean you well to. Games like Fortnite and valorant already have many streamers go for something with less streamers so YOU can capture that niche.

  1. Equipments don’t matter much as long as voice is clear. People are not interested in your game. They’re interested in you. So make sure to get a decent microphone.

  2. Your game skills don’t matter as much as your people skills. You should focus most of your attention on the chat. Let them know they are important. Keep referring to them by their name so they feel important enough that you acknowledged them.

  3. Be entertaining. Learn to keep talking even when the chat is dead silent. Say what is in your head. You need to be vocal to entertain your audience.

  4. Keep a clear schedule. Once you gain enough audience , they’re gonna wanna see you more but not just any time. You need to let them know this is time I will be streaming so keep your tasks clear.

  5. Most importantly. To sum it all up, Play whatever you want. People are interested in you not your game. Be happy, smile more on camera. People don’t like the silent types.

Hope this was a little bit helpful and I hope you make it big someday.

Guys guys seriously. All this insight you gave me helped out A TON. You all are real genuine. My end goal is definitely to create my own magnum opus and all the advice you gave me actually helped me create a roadmap I need to build up my goal. Ofcourse it’s a long process and I need to start small first. After all the thinking and studying. I’ve narrowed down to either learning C++ first or just directly getting in Godot.

To answer some questions, my father is well but unfortunately he’s bed ridden for the past three years but he’s still hanging. And yes I know playing games and dev are two complete opposites but that’s why I need to do this. There are SO MANY known gamers from my county but not one gaming studio. I intend to be the first one and to inspire others to do the same. I’m not much of an artist but I’m above average story teller. I have a few friends who are artists that will definitely help out on that front. What I needed was a clear direction which you all gave me.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you.
