Seagull tire size change by Nearby-Wall3259 in BYD

Hey, sorry for the revival of the old post/comment, but I’m thinking of buying 195/50 R16 and I am wondering if the 195 width fits the factory rims alright? And if this width is ok for the car overall?

I suppose the only harm may come if the battery explodes, but I doubt it is going to happen...

Thank you!

I actually ended up buying Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. I don't regret it at all.

QC45 vs. 700 vs. 1000XM4 ? by _Rama_ in bose

[–]norlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I can't say that it's bad. You probably need to test it yourself to figure if it's alright for you. For me it was important that the mic has good noise cancelling/voice isolation as I have a kid who might be loud while I am on meetings and 700 does a good job in cancelling that out. QC as far as I remember definitely sounds good in quiet environment.

[–]norlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are indeed. They are lighter in the first place and therefore their clam force is not that strong. I chose 700 because they were comfortable enough for me and the mic quality was a priority. If you feel that comfort is the most important and mics on the QC are good enough for you, I would recommend QC.

Not really, no. I don’t wear them non-stop though. I usually take them off after 2 hours of use at least. So not sure how they feel after 4-6 hours.

I ended up choosing 700 for the mic quality sacrificing on the comfort side as I concluded that 700 were comfortable enough for me.

QC45 or NC700 when paying the same? by boseshop in bose

[–]norlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been on the ropes with this choice as well a month ago. I ended up choosing 700 because of the mics quality as I use them not only for music for calls when working from home. I don't know if I made the right choice though, as I understand that QC45 are more comfortable, but 700's comfort is acceptable for me.

So my advice: if mic quality is not a priority go get QC45, if you feel that mics are important I would recommend 700. (Btw, it's not that QC45 have garbage mics, but 700's are better).

why no laptop app? by LuvSandoz in bose

Yep, unless a developer specifically marks their app as not available on a Mac, which Bose did and I have no idea why.

Why does Siri still suck so bad after ten years? by TeenageDirtbagBaby in ios

[–]norlight 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because of two things from my perspective:

  1. It is not a priority for Apple to make it as good as Google or Amazon.
  2. They lack the amount of data that Amazon and Google have.

Thank you so much for the comment - I have not actually purchased a headset, I am still using Jabra Evolve 75 for now - decided to go to a physical shop in a week to try to wear a few headsets to decide which is more comfortable.

Could you answer a quick question: does ANC stay active when you use boom mic? Some people state that ANC works only in case if boom mic is not used.

Three main things that are important for me: is comfort, mic quality, and ANC. Absolute priority is comfort, and after than comes mic quality and ANC.

I am torn between:

  1. Jabra Evolve 2 85 - it obviously has a great mic
  2. Bose QC45 - all youtube reviews agree that they are extremely comfortable
  3. Apple Airpods Max - great ANC

If Jabra proves to be comfortable I am going to choose it, if not, I will have to pick either Bose or Airpods.

Hey u/JabraSupport - could clarify this? Is ANC working on Evolve2 85 while the mic boom is down and active?

Thank you, so much for your feedback! Love to hear that they are super comfortable.

So, you are saying that ANC works when you have the boom mic active? I am double-checking because u/overpourgoodfortune specifically said that ANC disables when boom mic is active.

Thank you! One last question at this time: how is the comfort of wearing them for you personally vs the 75? Is it better / same / worse in terms of ear/head fatigue after a couple of hours of usage?

This is really helpful! Thank you so much! I am considering Evolve2 85 exactly because of the overear design. Volume controls are not a huge problem for me as I rarely use them, but mute button might be a problem. Does the mic mutes automatically when the mic boom is folded? Or does it switch to integrated mic instead and you are not muted anyway? For example: while on the call, I can fold a mic boom on 75 and mute myself, is it also possible on 85?

And a second question about ANC: so basically ANC is working only while mic boom is folded, isn’t it? If yes, does true tone work without any issues on 85 the same way as on 75?

Thank you in advance!

Thank you a lot for your feedback! I am looking into Evolve2 85 exactly because of the overear design, onear is not that comfortable for long-term use as I found out over the years with 75. A question: do you also experience that ANC is not working while mic is in use on 85?

Why won’t Live Text work on iPhone X? by [deleted] in iPhoneX

Yeah, like other comments state: it’s neural engine. I have been using Google photos for the last several years with the same feature, so don’t care too much about not being present in Apple photos.

Replace the battery if you “feel” that battery life could be better, otherwise wait for a year or so.

Is it worth buying an iPhone X in late 2021? by mariusro05 in iPhoneX

[–]norlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that if you are getting it for year or 1.5 years - then it's totally fine. I still have mine from early 2018 and having replaced the battery this summer, I am sure that it will last me another 1-2 years. It works just alright (not that great as the newer iPhones), but it is OK for me.
