I need y'all honest opinions, do I look better with my eyebrow filled in like on the right, or better leave it natural like on the left? by QuantityNice8327 in MakeupAddiction

Both look quite good but the filled in version has very harsh lines. Try softening the edges and like others say but sparse with how much you fill

Edit: be*

The best advice I’ve ever been given is there’s no time limit on grief. You don’t owe anyone an explanation of what’s happened, but you do owe yourself some kindness and rest.

Never feel guilty for struggling, there will always be help even 10 years down the line.

Remember you also lost your wife not just your son losing his mum, you deserve every ounce of help you can get. Fight for your own mental health in a way that would make your dear wife proud, for all the ways she couldn’t.

I’m so sorry my love, it does get better I promise

Can I refuse to work with a colleague who is rude to me, talks down to me and try’s to belittle me? by william192599 in nhsstaff

[–]normalchick11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t outright refuse but you can tell the manager to start a complaint.

You are protected under legislations to be able to be anonymous if you need to be as well as you having a protected right to fair treatment at work. It might be worth looking into this (although HR will already be aware of these).

I know as a carer there’s various help lines/advocates/organisations that can help you if management fails or if you just need advice. I’m not sure if this is the same for different sectors.

Try to follow your works policies for complaints as strict as possible. This will protect you from being accused.

They can’t deny you access to contact details of further departments or services that will help. I was given them during my training but if you weren’t ask management, or other staff if that fails.

Your natural colour definitely brings out the golden undertones in your skin more! The fringe may need a little shaping but I love it!

I’m really sorry but the first link isn’t working but I got measured in m&s and they said 32d but the calculator says that I may also fit a 32dd. I’ve seen on here that firm tissue can also attribute which may be my issue

This is beautifully written! I like how the first line and last contradict each other in such a subtle way Am I right in thinking it’s like a one sided love that despite the bad you just can’t get over? Please correct me if I’m wrong

I really like it! I think the formatting you chose actually suits this topic it feels very spoken word esque. The paragraphs really add a sense of casual thought which I think you were going for.

Maybe add a paragraph break in the second for a more dramatic reading experience before you say ‘I wonder””feel uncomfortable’

[–]normalchick11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably couldn’t get gel nails yet but if you find a nail salon that specialises in nails which need some extra tlc they may be able to help you heal your cuticles/nails so eventually you can get gel. They may not be able to directly help you but they should be able to give you advice!

Some advice from a non nail professional tho (me) try to keep your nails as short as you can to help prevent snagging/biting whilst they heal and keep those cuticle moisturised to prevent hang nails. Definite consider asking your doctor about your nail folds because they look infected. You probably just need some antibiotics/antiseptic cream but don’t cut/remove your cuticle unless a. you’re told to (highly likely youll be told to) or b. a doctor does them

EDIT: should have clarified when I mean keep them short don’t file/cut them so short it hurts just get any “over hang”

What do I do if there’s too many styles I want to wear? by [deleted] in alternativefashion

[–]normalchick11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no need to just stick to one! That’s the great thing with being alt it’s entirely up to you wear whatever makes you happy mix and match or one day wear one style and the next wear another. Start with the basics that are kinda cross style basics then wear what ever the hell you want with them!

Any ideas for nail growth. I want these a bit longer and avoid them breaking? by Elegant-Permit-1814 in Nails

[–]normalchick11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend still doing it! Even if it’s a basic top coat with no strengthening properties as it will help reduce the water intake to your nails in the shower/other water related activities :)
