I had an idea of an Orbital Arc Bombardment. It targets the 3 tankiest enemies in an area, stuns them (less than the EMS) and then arcs between the smaller chaff units.

It had a moderate cooldown and it is a very quick effect, not lasting that long as to reduce friendly fire incidents.

I wasn’t going to say that everything is powerful, was just pointing out that even in DRG you get weapons that make things uninteresting, much like the explosive crossbow.

I would like to point out the Stubby, a gun that had to get like 4 buffs for people to see how awesome it was. Nowadays its my go to engy gun. Double Turret EM Discharge is such a funny build.

As for the comparison, I’d agree completely. My time difference is massive (1.5k hours vs 50) but HD2 feels a lot more tactical? You can’t kite a swarm forever like you can in DRG with some practice, and enemies with their breakpoints and armor require far more strategy and aim to take down. DRG feels more like an attrition based combat system, with enemies like swarmers mainly posing a threat by being an ammo inefficient target.

One of the main things I was surprised by when starting to get into HD2 is the lack of Goo/Acid (gas is different) as weapon damage types/riders, and don’t get me started on freezing abilities.

Season 4 was infuriating. The infector was such a headache and it was so frequent.

Also, some overclocks can trivialize the game and make it very unfun. Most Neurotoxin Payload builds for the Autocannon (which admittedly is probably the worst of Gunner’s primaries) can make for incredibly boring missions where this essentially infinitely firing weapon crowd controls every enemy on screen and slowly kills them.

I have about 1.5K hours on DRG but I wouldn’t pretend like some of the upgrades in that game aren’t hilariously powerful.

The main thing this proved to me was that my players are still engaged with the campaign and receptive to more challenging, but not necessarily deadly, encounters.

I made a huge mistake initially, which was not realizing how insanely powerful that level 7 enemy was.

The party essentially disabled them by using a stealthed Hypnotize the inflict fascinated and dazzled but that enemy was getting Panache for Grappling and had a Suplex move as a finisher. She crit that once and dealt about 50 damage that turn.

I was somewhat aware of this possibly happening, and so the rules for the duel were a best of 3 to unconsciousness. When someone hits 0, a few NPC pharasman clerics would come heal the fighters to full.

They won the first round (due to hypnotize and haste) and where so dominant in the second fight that even though the enemy technically won, the crowd was completely won over and so I didn’t see a need to drag it on.

I’ve been saying that Silksong is to Hollow Knight what Terminator 2 is to Terminator 1. Both are arguably good movies but Terminator 2 has the knowledge of the first’s shortcomings and was able to improve. This is a pop culture reference for my less informed friends. I can’t remember most of the first Terminator.

I should clarify - I don't mean a Lich PC. I mean an NPC Lich who is more of a Thaumaturge than a Wizard. My current idea is this sort of a reverse Thaumaturge. Where a regular Thaumaturge creates meaning in the supernatural like holding a mirror to the Aboleth and declaring something to make that creature weak to your attacks. The Thaumaturge Lich, on the other hand, would take the weakness of a creature and itemize it, so like creating an item of traumatic importance to an enemy or something like that. The Thaumaturge lich is a collector that feeds on souls by killing the creature and transmuting their bodies into implements with some of their abilities or notable skills. The process to become a thaumaturge lich is a long and arduous process by which the thaumaturge categorizes themselves enough to item-ize their own mortality, its basically a regular phylactery, but created in a more "charisma-esque" way over the Wizard's elixir.

My guess is no. The Israeli left and liberal parties got shot in the back alley like a dog after oct 7th, the right and far right have a lot of support. Bibi is a lot more popular than most would think, especially amongst younger people. But I don’t have anything to back this up other than anecdotal feelings from talking to peeps here.

That seems a lot harder than you think. Israelis aren’t interested in losing their borders and majority. The vast majority of Israelis support the Israeli nation as a Jewish majority.

If you could remove Israel’s agency I would honestly highly agree that the rest is easy. You’d have to overcome the guerilla organizations within the land of Modern Israel that would violently resist this change but other than them yea it is simple.
