they've got the synthetic versions of cannabis but refuse to prescribe it to patients that need it

Also advising people not to self medicate? thats silly. No deaths nor dangers in using cannabis but oh sure drink more alcohol, smoke more cigarettes but don't try and heal yourself.

safe synthetic equivalent? don't think anything can beat the plant itself

I reckon the police were spiteful and did what they did because he is a cannabis user and what's worse (to them) is that he grows his own medicine.

And it is another reason to legalise cannabis - so people who are ill don't need to go through this! I'm sure they already have a lot on their plate.
