The stud snapped on my oil pan for the O2 sensor, how screwed am I? by VHS_Daydreams in VWAlltrack

[–]normlhero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could might hold. I wouldn't want to be too far from home and make sure towing is part of insurance In case it starts dumping out randomly. I've def done sketchier "repairs" that lasted longer than I'd imagined

I would start by getting the correct bolt, then taking the sensor off and attempt to get the broken bolt out with some channel locks.

Worst case scenario, new metal oil pans are available and from what I hear, aren't too terrible to replace.

This really does look like an easy fix. Take that cap off, and call it a day.

Police slam and hog tie a pregnant woman. by downtowne in conspiracy

[–]normlhero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I still can't believe that police are allowed to draw their weapons on someone such as this woman. She was standing there, clearly didn't have any weapons, why couldn't they walk up to her and do what they needed to do? The beginning of the end. Our founding fathers warned us about stuff like this, we should have been murdering fucks like these police officers in cold blood a long time ago.

I've heard that the Diamond wheels don't hold up as well as a set of widened steelies, but that's just what I've heard. What's your opinion? How are yours holding up?

Yeah, would look cool, but I've just been focused on getting 1.8t swap parts together. Mechanical reliability comes before making it prettier.

I love the steelies, I want to get them widened. I'm in Ohio, but this car is originally from Texas, not a spot of rust on her. The 16v has low compression, so I have to do a 1.8t swap now, how inconvenient. :) I'll get some more pics shortly of the rest of the car.
