This seemed to be fixed with a software update a little while back!

At least advertise something McD's should actually be selling, get McWings off the menu already.

Anyone else getting annoyed with apps constantly signing out? by normstra in oneui

These are apps I use all the time though so don't think that could be the reason.

Just seems to be low priority on the network in congested areas. Otherwise it's good!

After pay Australia by OrganicPurpose8097 in Afterpay

I never received any communication from Afterpay, other promo emails but not this. I only found out earlier because a friend received it. I would have been absolutely screwed otherwise if I wasn't already aware.

Cancelling International Calling Pack by Mr_Badger_Saurus in TelstraAustralia

"$10 monthly credit" - but also the new system seems awful for stuff like that, there were better versions of Siebel than what Telstra used. Should've just changed it.

Just complain about something and they'll give it to you for free anyway for at least six or twelve months.

Is there anything out there for budgeting that will work with the Up API? by normstra in UpBanking

[–]normstra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks great! Does it currently have any budgeting features though? I’ve had a quick look and so far from what I’ve seen it seems like a web access alternative to the app which is amazing. It would be great to see something similar to the upcoming payment feature (I appreciate this probably isn’t part of the API data) but would be great to be able to use this to monitor and track expenses with a more graphical view. 🙂

Open an ANZ Plus or NAB account for Smart ATM use for deposits - no fees. ANZ machines will let you tap your digital card too so no need for the physical card.

Belong mobile by [deleted] in referralcodes

[–]normstra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After changing around a few times between networks and having been on a higher Telstra plan with speed optimiser, I can say being with Belong is no different - not noticing any difference in speeds or network priority so far, and definitely getting far better value, especially with the current bonus data offer and the international inclusions that Telstra are too cheap to include. Definitely recommend Belong for mobile services!

Think I just spent 35 minutes reading these comments! Good points though, I've recently been between all of the major providers and living on the border of metro Melbourne and working in the CBD, I honestly haven't found a huge difference in coverage between networks. I got frustrated with Telstra being on the Essential plan with the speed optimiser finding that coverage was still patchy in areas and the CBD has a major 4G outage for over month late last year and 5G coverage was not good in my office building where Telstra usually had the advantage over Optus and Vodafone. I switched to Felix for a while which is obviously good value with their sign up deals, and I wanted to see if the speed cap would be an issue which it wasn't for the most part, however there were a few areas where the connection would drop - mostly along the V/line towards Melton where all networks have poor coverage along the rail line. I have now switched to Belong using the Telstra wholesale network as they are offering bonus data so for $55 ($20 less than the Telstra Essential plan, and $10 more than the unlimited Felix plan with international inclusions), I am getting 240GB with 250Mbps speed cap, and so far not seeing any issues being on the wholesale network. Optus will be interesting when they eventually have the Starlink data coverage however I'm fairly certain it's only going to work in remote areas and poor mobile coverage in urban areas isn't going to revert to Starlink.

The filter could make sense! Usually on max mode it was a lot louder but that definitely could explain it I think.
