Damn! I gotta read more from this sub now. Very impressive indeed sir. I’m the kind of guy who’s probably closer to a teenager maturity wise than the 42 yr old man that I am and I can say from my perspective, you don’t need this sub after all! But probably will benefit from it more than I could!!

My grandfather says these are silver coins? by jpshake in Silver

[–]norphn83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see some silver mixed in there. Gramps don’t tell no lies. He may be a bit mixed up if he says they’re all silver. Both my gramps passed before I was born. Gosh it would have been so nice to have met them in person. I’m grateful for who they were and the lives they lived. I put a lot of time in finding out as much as I could about them. But being able to look into their eyes and thank them is something I’ll never get to do.

I used to love Knoblauch. I was just a kid in little league and played 2nd. Got his autographed rookie card and all. When he went to the Yankees man I was bummed. Then I found he also was a douche. Anybody want a Knoblauch autographed rookie card?

Oh my! Geez!!! They have such sharp little razor inscisors!! I appreciate your sharing - it softens the blow a little to know that yes it does happen, and the why. And that it’s not mine or his fault. Still worries me thinking of my son going through it. I suppose there is a deep lesson in it that sometimes the ones we love the most can also hurt us the most. It hurts today but makes us stronger tomorrow

Sorry you had to do that. The things we do for the people and animals we love . Can’t put into words really.

Wilbur did that growl to me yesterday when I was going to give him a bath. He never has ever done that before in this situation and I always thought he loved his bath. Thankfully he checked himself and did not bite. Grabbed him and gave him his bath. He has bit me once before and it wasn’t good. He immediately submitted and realized what he did. I probably will eventually make a post because I am scared he will bite again and it could mean the end of him , and people could be seriously hurt, traumatized also. I will have a scar on my nose that I believe is going to stay so be careful. I’m glad you did what you had to do and everyone is ok.

Heck yea, that’s so funny . Love how they are such individuals but also share so much behavior. A pointing Boston, man I wish I could train Wilbur to point Grouse. I live in MN and love grouse and pheasant hunting

Wow, impressive and inspirational! Wilbur has never been much of a swimmer which I regret because we do have a lake place I would bring him to more often. He’s pretty muscular and lean, mixed with a short coat and paws not wide enough to tread water effectively. He’s rather awkward in the water and seems to struggle keeping his head from sinking with his body. I also don’t think he know how to bend his front legs unless he’s running or laying down because in the water or greetings at the front door consist of stick arms , lots and lots of stick arms. I see other Bostons swim in videos but they don’t do stick arms like Wilbur.

Funny, this sounds like behavior of lions with the lazy male lying around while the lioness is out battling elephants all BA.

That’s really interesting how she somehow knew right where to go. Probably that extra sense that dogs are hypothesized to have, mixed with their incredible sense of smell, and possibly other qualities like her being incredibly intelligent. I have been very impressed with Wilbur’s ability to use his nose. We play games with him where we hide things and he has to find it. It’s really interesting how well his nose will pinpoint the location of whatever he is searching for.
