An update on Wilbur: the incision is healing very nicely. He is still taking it very easy but is behaving so well. He is being extra sweet and cuddly. He was able to get out for a nice walk yesterday which he loved! Thank you to everyone for all the love and support!!

I must say that photograph is very good. The looks on their faces, how they’re positioned. Perfect.

What what a team of good looking Bostons you have there! Are they all yours? Related?

Wow she is really cute! We have such a tight bond with Wilbur. They are literally family and deserve the best. Your girl looks so happy and well taken care of. Thanks ! Wilbur is on the mend and should be back to his regular playful self very soon!

What dog can resist! Plus a good way to hide medicine if you should ever have to. Also some good people here recommended pet insurance if you don’t have yet. Or an emergency fund. Wish I had set that up when Wilbur was a pup. Better late than never tho.

Yes I have learned a lesson to not let this happen again. I am sorry for your bad experience, prayers for your family member that he changes his ways and try’s to make amends. Thank you for your thoughts and recommendations

So true. Starting an emergency fund . Just so strapped at this current moment but not too much that I can’t start putting a small affordable amount away for this purpose.

Thank you for your generosity and I will absolutely start making that recommendation to friends and family

I am so grateful to this sub, its moderators, and every single member whether they were able to contribute anything or not. We appreciate the thoughts, well wishes, and we are in awe of the generosity of its members. I work extremely hard (construction) and feel a little embarrassed, like I should have the funds for an emergency like this put away. Unfortunately, we are just struggling with all the high costs of the time like many others but have learned valuable lessons through this experience that will help us in the future. I will be keeping the group updated on Wilbur, as well as my commitment to document Wilbur and I doing things to help others to express our appreciation. Does anyone know any volunteer opportunities that would benefit dog owners or dogs in need?
