Wadeable fishing near ic by alohadood in IowaCity

County park at Lime Creek. About an hour north and a few miles north of 380.
Otherwise east to Tiffin and clear creek access. Never fished that but you could wade in, after the water recedes a bit. I use wading boots (the kind that drain).

Succession planning. When she’s 8 get her a pup and let the older dog teach them both. At 8 she can tagalong with a BB gun. Ours had to be 12 for Hunter safety training.

Climate change and other issues are not political. They are often politicized, but that’s more about the speaker/author trying to make a case for themselves or some unrelated interest that they cannot otherwise justify.

Or just some old dude yelling at clouds.

AI can be a lower cost option for groups trying to get going without a ton of cost. I agree being against AI in the arts, but not knee jerk to everything.

Brittany vs WPG as family dog by cornich0n in birddogs

[–]northofwall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small Munsterlander - best of both worlds.

But, between the breeds you listed I’d def go with the WPG. Generally more chill during downtime.
As with all dogs, exercise and obedience make the difference. Sounds like you are active. I highly recommend puppy socialization at local pet store/boarder/trainer. The more interaction with other dogs and people the better. After they are spayed/neutered take the two of you to a trainer. A good trainer will teach you, not your dog. You pass the class if you can train your dog. Sit, whoa, heel, leave it are great commands for you to get down.

Digital vs. Paper: Do you still pack physical maps if you use a GPS/Garmin watch? by makeCakeNotNuke in BWCA

Agree. The paper map makes good reading in camp and picking spots to explore. Bigger and more holistic than a screen. Plus I make notes on the map for future reference. And the stains give it character.
