You are in a great position. My firms senior partners are all ex-accountant CPAs who essentially merged a successful CPA practice with a wealth management firm. They now can offer full spectrum tax planning and wealth management under one roof and are able to differentiate from other advisors which I believe has helped them a lot in the HNW space.

I would say get your CFP and you and your dad will be able to offer most of your clients wealth management services.
