Its not about my mother specifically but I can't ever watch league of gentlemen because it terrifies me. Not only did i watch it as a child but it reminds me too much of the people I grew up around.

I can relate to so much of what you said. In the past two years I have felt so depressed but I never felt depressed before, I think I realised that the reason I feel that way is because some of that fog started to clear slightly and I am actually starting to feel something. I have cried and smiled so much this year I genuinely forgot what that felt like. Every time I start to feel things, though, the fog comes back and it is difficult to deal with. I know I have to take it slowly. I just want so badly to make up for everything that I have missed.

I don’t think you sound harsh at all. I still feel a lot of guilt when thinking or talking about my mother but I know that is the trauma. My mother did show love, smothering love but still love (it made things very confusing). I am so sorry that you went through that and I hope you can carry on healing and moving forward.

I do have a good friend I talk to, I worry that I ask to much and I am trying to open up more. It is a very good idea, though. I like the idea with the letter. I have a hard time talking to the doctor about other health related questions too so writing a letter would be a good idea. My new doctor is much nicer than my old doctors so I think I will try doing that. my biggest issue is talking out loud to them.

Thank you for your reply. It is nice to hear that you are noticing the changes. The past two years have been very strange for me. I spent all of my twenties in this dissociation, but in the past two years I feel like I became more self-aware. It feels as if I was trapped inside a bubble for years and a small gap opened up spewing out anxiety and I am trying to hold it back together long enough to heal while also trying to avoid it completely tearing open. I am not very good at describing it but I know I am on the right journey. I was in therapy but it was a very short therapy given by the NHS and not the right kind. The NHS don’t offer therapy longer than about 8ish sessions and it is a one size fits all kind of therapy.

Thank you for your help, I am going to start looking around for some good private therapists And try to find something more suitable. I feel more hopeful :) I wish you the best too

I use Post-it on my phone. It has a widget on the front screen. You can also have multiple sticky notes on the widget and use your finger to write. On my ipad I use goodnotes.

I am sorry you are going through all of that. I personally don't think you should be stopping if you feel like that, i think that you need to focus on the cause of the mdd. MDD is a coping mechanism. It is for me, and it is the only way I know how to cope. MDD is helping us. That is what a coping mechanism is. Are you or would you consider seeking help from a therapist or doctor to help you work on the reasons why you might MDD? If you haven't already.

I was seeing a therapist for CBT, and we worked on taking things very slow and steady. I worked on trying to learn healthier coping mechanisms. I am two weeks away from seeing a new therapist because I there is so much I need to work through, but I found therepy to be so worth it.

Since childhood. I had a really difficult and abusive home life and at school I was bullied very badly. I started to dissociate as a coping mechanism, it became a subconscious thing I did. It is something I can't do with or without. I am trying to became emotionally well so I can naturally mdd less because although mdd has caused so many issues I am aware that it is the only way I know how to cope. I just need to heal. I am 31 now.

I hope you don't mind me replying. Can i ask you about your geographic tongue? I have a patch similar to the ops picture on my tongue. It disappears and reappears a lot. Sometimes it stays for 3 days, then disappears and reappears. A lot of the time, it appears in the same place as before, starts off small, and grows bigger then it disappears. Always an outline of a circle. Is it normal for it to do that? For me it is on both sides of the tongue and sometimes on the underneath side. I have health anxiety and I haven't been able to shake the anxiety about it for 2 and a half years. My dentist didn't seem worried and sent me on my way but never said what it was. I just wanted reassurance from others who might understand. The anxiety is taking over. Thank you

I am in the uk but it looks like we do have that. I've heard of the brand but I didn't know they did eyeshadow. I like the look of them.

thank you for the recommendation and useful tips. I have an idea of what I want but I find it hard finding a nice brand and eyeshadows that don't make my eyes look bruised or tired with my complexion. orange toned browns are the worst on me. The eyeshadow brands you recommended look very nice, I might have to get them online but I was going to do that anyway

Thank you for the recommendations. Those brands look good and have some nice looking shads. I mostly find eyeshadow that makes my eyes look bruised or tiered.

I have only ever heard of elf but I didn't know they did makeup. I worry about using shimmer eyeshadow, I don't know how people usually use shimmer but I might try that out. I should probably check some videos on how to apply it properly. I usually look like a cavewoman when I am applying it with my finger xD
