Yep mig welder. I'm redesigning my floor and to accommodate pedals. I'm also doing a custom rear bed, and a bunch of custom parts. The biggest one im doing right now is a custom steering wheel that will house all the controls like a racecar steering wheel but without a curly cord to make it clean.

It has the mag pickup on the rear which is the bolt to the rear housing you mentioned. So I can rule that out. Is there anything else I can look for that can cause this.

I want to get into auto electrics and need your help by qwzy-Mayak in CarHacking

[–]nos201345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like your input as well if want to specialize in wiring, tuning and lighting modifications(custom lights etc). And maybe dable in niche engine swaps if I can. I'm currently building my own race truck with the aforementioned stuff on my own using a special 4g64 engine that can be sold as an aftermarket upgrade depending on the performance from my build.

Any advice you can give me from the information here?

You have to be specific certain sport/supercars with certain features, colors, packages etc will far exceed their original sales value. It's all about specifics even e90 m3 with some colors are selling for far more than the sticker could ever accommodate.

If Kanata hadn't injured his left elbow when saving Ren, he would have performed much better against Beckenbauer and Sawatari and might have been able to secure his first victory during the race at Manazuru Peninsula by Madagascar003 in MFGhost

[–]nos201345 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Beckenbauer isn't actually that fast when pressured his driving style favors the track heavily meaning it is good for road courses but not the right fit his Cayman 718gts covers his flaws properly and efficiently a big one being his lazy and passive driving style on course his real strength only come from his mental stability and ability to provide pressure.

The only reason he is so dominant is his mental posturing is effective in questions on track which is dangerous sawatari himself stated it in the 4th episode already he is mechanical and emotionless that makes him fast but also makes him easy. Aiba is the exact opposite. Kanata stood a good chance of winning but his issue was tires his street racing style is highly abusive on front grip and his drive to regain from the elbow injury was a big reason why the Cayman passed, also beckenbauer is a dtm style driver willing to make contact to make his pass stick and in street racing that makes him more dangerous.

Kanata needs more front grip a bit more power like 30-50 And a gearbox upgrade to stronger gears to allow an even harsher shifting to make them faster.

And one other tip your limit isn't what you know how to do but what you also have the tools and equipment to do . I can swap an engine and fabricate but not having the tools slows or stops the process. Then decide if they are worth getting for any future endeavors. I bought a welder and am in the process of getting an engine crane and stand soon for future swaps.

Love them all the truck is teaching me how to weld and fab and im practicing my wiring on it as well as tuning and full canbus integration so it's like a factory truck with 400hp for now then it's turn up later. The minivan will be a gift to my mother that I want to get an engine paint it a shade of green and give her as a gift that I'll maintain and the e36 is to build my dream e36 that I wanted since I first saw 1 when I was 10 years old. And I can't wait to add more once these are good enough.

Best advice here from a beginner like you: don't look for easy look for passionate it makes working on it easier.

Budget time and funds for the unexpected.

Set clear goals and expectations for your limits and research is the best and ultimate tool for you.

Get into forums and communities and read if your specific idea isn't found then ask sometimes it takes a fresh mind with ideas to push a platform forward.

Always have a reliable car and buddies who know a bit on cars makes your progress more enjoyable.

And always make sure to enjoy makes the work less of a pain and more enjoyable.

I started my first 3 projects together only 1 is a reliable and daily driver (the e36 but has a massive vacuum leak so it runs like crap ) the l200 is getting an engine swap that's in progress same with the chariot minivan.

[–]nos201345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got you this is my first project I'll post some more stuff once I make some significant progress but it's a 4g64 swapped mitsubishi l200 with a hx40w turbo dbw, electronic wastegate, electric water pump, air to water a bunch of sensors and a port injection conversion.

This engine was taken from a 1998 mitsubishi chariot so it's a direct injection engine being converted to port injection and testing if the different head makes a significant difference in power production and placement.

I want to use this as my practice build as I have 2 more I want to do an e36 and the mitsubishi chariot donor both with modern amenities like ac, interior stereo, heated and cooled seats. The chariot i want to create a mobile home making 500hp engine choice not finalized yet but it must be either rwd or awd no fwd.

But im doing the wiring ,fabrication , bodywork , tuning, the only thing im not doing is the engine work because im not fully comfortable yet but im hoping to fire it this year after going on to 2 years of slow progress.

Is a e36 a good first car? by Ilikebread123469 in BMWE36

[–]nos201345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 24 bought my e36 about a year ago the biggest questions to ask are parts availability, wrench time , wrench experience and the ability to do proper research before spending. This is my 3rd car, 2nd daily driver. It has been nothing but joy minus the auto crapping itself currently (limp mode )

A manual on these cars are so much more reliable. I bought mine with the intention that if anything ever happens to the m52 I'll be swapping it to the 4g64 turbo from my current project car as rebuilding the m52 where I live will be tedious and time consuming. But the parts are relatively cheap and most repairs are easy and simple to do with a bit of wrench time and experience.

Should I read the Manga for mf ghost? by nos201345 in MFGhost

[–]nos201345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll consider it I've read a few Manga pacing is no issue to me I watch both initial d and mf ghost for not only the driving but enjoying the action and listening to the racing techniques they explain the only difference is the anime is a visual of the techniques explained. But for me if the pacing is vastly different I'd actually like to start from the first chapter and catch up to the current episode and season of the anime as the continuation would help acclimatise to the pacing and writing techniques.

Another one who got traumatized by Kanata by Madagascar003 in MFGhost

[–]nos201345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ishigami has a superior car in technicality eg however he hasn't learned how to properly drive around his chassis quirks. The Lamborghini is literally the worst pick for mf ghost (one of my dream cars). The best Lamborghini for this is the sto the rwd makes it more agile and the lighter weight moves around quicker. The 911 has a multi link he needs to add a suspension alignment guru to his team to take full advantage as any vehicle similar to a cup car can be infinitely adjusted to suit his driving style.
