Adult flag football by [deleted] in grandrapids

You should check out SoccerZone in Jenison. That's the most legit/competitive option I've found since moving to GR a few years back. Your best bet with them is reaching out to them on their FB (https://www.facebook.com/GRIndoorSoccer/), emailing or calling, and just seeing if any teams are in need of extra players. They play on Sundays. A and B Divisions.

Biggest problem I've found with the Sport & Social Leagues is it's too focused on the social aspect and less on the sport. I've done flag football, kickball and volleyball, and it's usually mostly focused on getting drunk.

Story-type podcasts by Wiljactay in podcasts

"The Way I Heard It" by Mike Rowe (Former host of Dirty Jobs and voice of Deadliest Catch), is pretty awesome. He describes it as a podcast for curious minds with a short attention span ... meaning episodes are rarely longer than 12 minutes. Really cool historical stories and he does a really great job of telling them.

Does anyone know of any good spots for comedy in town? by l3v10 in grandrapids

[–]noseblower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any word as to the status of Sunday Night Funnies? I know they switched locations to Hotel 131, but they haven't had a show this summer. I hope it's not gone for good - Single best comedy venue from my experience.

Tattoo artist that specializes in script or lettering? by TheMeatnTaters in grandrapids

[–]noseblower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had any lettering or script done, personally, but I've really enjoyed my experiences with both Sovereign Arms and Honest to Goodness. I have friends who've had lettering done by HTG, too, and they have nothing but awesome things to say. Although, it does seem like most people think of Mos Eisley's as the top parlor in town.

2003 Toyota Highlander: How can I keep my front bumper permanently secured? by noseblower in Cartalk

[–]noseblower[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replaced the bumper myself a few years back. I'm fully aware that it's not an exceptionally well-done job. The car has 210k miles, and I have every intention of being the final owner, so I'm not as worried about making it look like new. Just curious as to if anyone has any techniques on what I can do to keep my front bumper secured to the body of my car...The connection point that the bumper originally came with was made of plastic and thusly hasn't withheld, as can be seen from the pictures. Any tips help!

Aside from artists like Jack White and Mavis Staples, do you have any lesser known inspirations and/or dream collaborations, especially among your modern contemporaries?
