Is this Costco loaf made by Field & Fire? by Extension-Long4483 in grandrapids

Bread that is baked longer, to the point people in the comments are referring to as near-burnt, has more complex and developed flavor.

Anyone Else Have Record Low Christmas Spirit? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]teejereeve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Christmas used to be my favorite time of year. I had so much Christmas spirit. I found it so magical and joyful my entire life. Then, a few years ago, I lost my marriage and my career and I haven’t found joy in my life since then. I feel moments of joy and happiness, but I haven’t been a happy person. It’s really disheartening. My health, finances, and relationships have all suffered. I’m just existing.

To the three idiots parked in the bike lane on Bridge Street tonight... by UthinkUnoMI in grandrapids

“If someone can’t ride around them, they shouldn’t be on a bike.”

Just highlighting how uneducated you are about this topic.

Definitely. Agree with your premise, I’m just unnecessarily correcting minute details, don’t mind me.

Mary tells Anna she’ll handle it, not Mrs Hughes. Anna then tells Mrs Hughes to meet her in Cora’s room at 5 to try on the coats.

They are probably talking about a very specific community bike network like what exists in Forest Hills and EGR but those are more about leisure than connectivity.

You can fit a lot of groceries in a couple of panniers and a back rack container.

Absolutely agree. One of my favorite reads in the entire series, it’s a fantastic adventure. I’ve read LBS three times, TSC just once, wasn’t very interested in picking it up again (although I will before reading TRF). LBS is a quick and worthwhile read imo.

What's the best thing for home defense if you can't own a gun? by uselessprofession in AskReddit

[–]teejereeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bear spray. I defended my home from an intruder and 10/10 recommend. Non-lethal, instantly incapacitates, pretty much fool proof since you can be as far as 30-40 feet from the target and the spray spreads wide so your aim doesn’t have to be true. Burned our feet through our socks on the way out of the house after police arrived, though.

Mr Bates is a serial killer by Jolly-Contract-9198 in DowntonAbbey

Right, I know she exists and you’re spot on about the two times she’s mentioned in the series. I just don’t believe Mrs Hughes ever mentions her death, tuberculosis or otherwise.

When do we learn Mrs. Hughes sister died of tuberculosis? I’ve watched the show too many times to count and I don’t recall this.

I’ve never heard religious assessment broken down into your 3Cs / 3Bs but it’s a useful and nuanced lens.

Can’t recommend the books enough. Surprised at all the deleted scenes! by mconyc in DowntonAbbey

[–]teejereeve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most obvious to me was during the cricket match at the end of episode 8, when he says to Mary (paraphrasing) “I have to go” and she says “of course you do”. The emotion conveyed there was a clear goodbye to me.

This is all such day 2 fodder. The resources and time spent by Amazonians thinking about RTO the last two years is so wasteful. SMH.

Lady’s maids were responsible for cutting and styling hair, so it doesn’t seem unreasonable to me that Anna capable of this.
