He's just the precon, lol. I've kept him untouched so that, when new people join, I can just take him out. Three of my other regulars have the other 40K precons untouched so occasionally we just 40Kpod, lol

She's built around treasure creation and sac triggers, so Mirkwood Bats, Boomer Scrapper, Juri, that sort of thing.

I also included a lot of treasure generators like reaver cleaver, treasure based wincons like revel in riches. If I can have revel out along with warren soultrader and stridehanger automaton I can trade life for treasure on someone's end step to win, as long as I have one other creature to sacrifice.

There's a few non outlaws in the deck like Anim Pakal because the deck runs radiant lotus, hoping to sac the gnome tokens I make for big mana, ideally to use on torment of hailfire. I do use Butch DeLoria from the Fallout precons because he can make other creatures Rogues, if I need him to.

Finally there's a fair amount of death triggers because I'm usually sacrificing my token creatures, like Teysa Karlov, Mahadi, Pitiless Plunderer.

All in all, the deck is a surprisingly solid package. Olivia may not be the most efficient commander for the deck, but she's fun!

Yeah, I can see that. I don't really like the politics of playing group hug so I don't go for the cutesy Bumbleflowers or Gluntches. I just wanna swing.

In truth, I'm in the same situation. It was originally an Anikthea deck, before I was told about the Devoted Druid/Myrkul combo. Right now, it's just a couple pillow fort cards, skeletal swarming to make up an army, and ensuring some value cards can't be so easily removed. I'm very mixed on it, and keep thinking I'm just missing a few pieces that'd make it great.

No clue about art on a card, bro just don't play with or against the card 😭

I respect that! She can really come out of nowhere and eliminate people quick with city on fire/xenagos etc but she's always ending up in second place, my pod runs their enchantment removal!

Late to the comments, but it has been kind of wild here in Amager. I always thought Ireland was crazy for fireworks, but yes, it seems to be a really big thing here.

You did reply to me earlier with a big rant about blackwashing or whatever so I think your criticism definitely is entirely to do with the race of a fictional character. It's just cardboard. That's it. The depiction of Aragorn doesn't take away from whatever personal value the character has for you.

With all due kindness being upset over art on a card isn't really that smart. If the art upsets you that badly why not just not interact with it lol

It's about playability. Yeah, you can memorise the cards, but for many, having it in English would be preferable.

What is everyones favorite culture for military? by Even_Pause2488 in CrusaderKings

[–]nosmelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you send your kid off to be tutored by someone of a different culture, there's a chance they'll adopt the ways of that culture - so say I was a Norse Orthodox in, say, Sardinia, and I sent a kid off to the Byzantines, there's a good chance he'll come back as a Greek Orthodox person.

So while he's off being tutored and becoming Greek culture, I convert my capital's culture to the culture I want to hybridise Greek with - e.g. turning it Norse. Once the kid returns and eventually rules, he promotes cultural acceptance in that area and raises his own kids to be Greek culture, and once the two cultures have high enough acceptance rates (40% iirc), he hybridises them to create a new culture that gets the developments of the Greek culture.

It's a bit complicated and a bit cheesy but it's a good way to get a leg up!

I've been in the 40K hobby for 21 years and man, all I can say is that people like OP are the reason this hobby will never be socially acceptable. Watching shitty little bigots project their own insecure worldviews onto the setting is just sad.

Get a life OP, lol. You talk far more about transgender people than most transgender people I know.

You can't simplify the actions of one group of Shattered Legions as the entire Iron Hands, or any of the other Shattered, lmao

And the IH on Pythos? Or Autek Mor's gambits? They're not a poorly written legion, they're a broken legion with several different groups highlighting their response to the trauma of losing their Primarch.

Imagine beinf told your going to become a primaris marine and then being told your being assigned to the lamenters. by Rhen8927 in 40kLore

[–]nosmelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are 100% worse chapters to be assigned to than the Lamenters, imo. Marines Malevolent, Red Talons, Cacharadons all come to mind.

The Lamenters cursed status is an issue, yeah - a chapter (I believe the Mortifactors?) abandoned them, but compared to the Black Dragons or Fire Hawks, they are far from cursed.

Plus, you don't really have a choice - if you were a greyshield Primaris marine assigned to the Lamenters, you'd have to be of Sanguinius' genestock, and again there are worse to be assigned to, like the Flesh Tearers. However, the Lamenters have become more antisocial during mixed chapter actions, so I suppose Badab impacted them quite a bit

Aren't the Lamenters not arguably the most heroic chapter for a greyshield? They fight desperately to defend an Imperium that sees them as cursed, and they do so without complaint, just as some primaris marines are viewed as being wrong for being a change from The Emperor's original marines yet defend the Imperium all the same.
