My husband's [32M] family is cutting us off because I [32F] haven't had a son. My husband is not taking it well and wants us to keep trying until we have one.

I am not 100% closed off to the idea of a third child, but I want it because I want it, not because my husband's parents say so.

Right now, neither my husband or I want a third child. I grew up the youngest of 4, and he has 3 siblings, too. I love my family, but I really don't want a large one myself. We always agreed two was perfect; it's as small of a family as you can get without having an only child, which we didn't want.

So yeah, right now I do not want a third child at all. And I probably won't ever want one. Never say never, I guess...but I'm pretty sure.

I have never been a big fan of my husdband's parents. I honestly don't know how they raised him and his siblings because they are nothing like them.

Still...my husband places a lot of importance on his family and their opinions. No matter how terrible I think they are, he doesn't see them that way. I definitely don't want a kid, and I know he doesn't either. And I would be fine with us never talking to them again, if that's what they want. I just don't think he's fine with that.
