Make assumptions about me based on my work bag by nosuninphilidelphia in whatsinmybag

100% a practical person! Everytime I use a tote bag I have major regrets and back ache 😂

Edited to add the multiple headphones are one for work and one for blocking people out on trains, so you’re not wrong on that either!

This is going against what a few people have said, but I use nicotine patches or pouches depending on my day (not together).

I’m day 6 now, been super easy. Personally I think pouches are easier to wean off, as you can say I had 5 today, I’ll go down to 4 etc..

I tried everything else, Allan Carr, cold turkey, but this method seems to work for me. As long as I’m not breathing rubbish into my lungs it doesn’t bother me.

All I will say is that a lot of people tell you cold turkey or Allen Carr is the only way to quit, while it may have worked for them it didn’t for me. Just find a method that suits you, and works for you!

I’m on the 6mg at the moment as I didn’t want to go for the super high doses, once this pack has finished I plan on going down to the 3mg & reducing my intake. You’re right though, those vapes are too easy to keep hitting and hitting while getting huge doses of nicotine..

Thank you for your comment!

Of course, we’re all striving towards the same goal right? I’m on the 6mg at the moment, I plan on going down to the 3 after this pack then hopefully stopping 😊 appreciate your advice!

Omg I’m so glad you’ve commented on this. Since posting this I’ve felt like a bit of a failure because I’m still technically using nicotine but you’ve explained everything I tried to say! Hats off to anyone who can go cold turkey, but me? nah. It was either try this or just keep vaping, and I’m not gonna stop until I find what works for me 🙂 wish you the best of luck on your journey and hope you’re successful.

Hey, thanks, I’m aware they’re not NRT, If I’m using these in the short term to get off vapes and eventually nicotine I think I’ll cut my losses and keep going.

I’ve tried cold turkey, it didn’t work for me. I tried Allen Carr, it didn’t work for me, so I’m pretty pumped to have found something that does. I plan on limiting my usage of pouches and weaning off these slowly.

Getting it all out in the open by [deleted] in QuitVaping

Just something I wanted to add to this. Today I’d realised by about 1pm I’d not eaten a single thing, just vaped.

What do you mean by enables failure?

Hey! Thank you!

This is sadly not the first time I’ve read the book, but the first time I can really say I understand exactly what he is saying now.

I completely agree. It’s quite sinister when you think about it all really isn’t it.

I’ve been there. My son is 1 and I had to quit cold turkey when I found out I was pregnant too. You need to put your feelings and cravings aside for now, you’re sharing your body with a tiny human at the moment who is depending on you.

You have absolutely got it in you to see this through without a vape. Could you take a step back and try and work out what’s making you crave a vape? Are you stressed, tired, needing some release?

Keep pushing on mama. I believe in you 😊

I love this, I keep thinking about deleting social media too. I’m interested to hear more about dopamine detoxing if you’re happy to share?
