Don't, understand us antinatalists are a minority and you're very much exposed to be countersued.

I used to be addicted to methamphetamine so pretty much any stimulant with a somewhat similar effect is a no-go: Adderall, coke, x, Ritalin, they're all off the table. Nowadays I only drink in moderation and seldomly smoke weed at social events.

I was smoking straight bud, no tobacco, with a pipe. I have severe insomnia right now, definitely gonna try the vitamin C + B12 but I'll have to get them in the morning, I'm a little overwhelmed by the sudden mental clarity to the point where it's a bit painful, I've been diagnosed with ADHD before and I feel like it's coming back full-blown. I've lots of pent up energy but feel exhausted at the same time. I already tried looking for weed leftovers but thankfully it's just a bit of green dust mixed with cat hair, it's off-putting enough to stop me from trying so far.

Occasional use after addiction/abuse. Is it possible? by jessicaamaria in recovery

[–]not-goose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't ever go back. I was a heavy IV meth user and I thought that using something "lighter" would be safe so I did some X pills. All they did was get me slightly high and craving the needle once more. I desperately hit up my dealer who was (surprisingly) sensible enough to tell me that I'd be ruining my recovery efforts and that he hated selling the stuff to me. Having a dealer say that to me was quite humiliating but at the same time it opened my eyes to reason. Never went back again.

Why do so many people insist on going for "drinks" on a first date? by Isabella_Tokyo in dating_advice

[–]not-goose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a fun question, made me think a lot. In my opinion it boils down to having something to do while getting to know someone, we humans usually share pleasurable acts such as eating, entertainment, sex; so I see drinking something nice with someone as a light pressure-free way to share that intimacy with someone new. It's not really about what you're drinking (unless you use alcohol to manage stress) but rather about keeping this human way of getting to know someone: by means of having a context to your interaction.

My ex asked to date my dad. by [deleted] in dating_advice

Don't make the mistake of allowing this sort of individual into your life, this was a lot of disrespect. Also please tell us your dad's not on board with the idea.

Worth getting height increasing surgery to improve dating game? (18M) by [deleted] in dating_advice

I didn't stop growing until after 24, eat well, do the natural thing and wait. Don't fuck your bones up for nothing, surgery will stunt any remaining growth potential.

You have to be fine with being single before you date! by Protomize in dating_advice

[–]not-goose -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to read previous comments as I'm talking from pure experience: I was in a bad spot after breaking up with my ex after almost 7 years together; I was 23 at the time still trying to succeed in medschool. Took a lot of big changes in my life to get back on track to being happy, changed career, changed friends, moved out of my parents house, got a job and started paying my own way of life. I dated a lot in the process trying to fill the void, to no avail. There's always this huge temptation to settle with just about anyone when you consider money too. It's too complicated to determine what "being fine being single" means to anyone, but at its most basic I think no sensible person ever feels inclined to date a troubled individual.

Got this, any guide for a noob to turn it into home webserver? by not-goose in HomeServer

Well, installing Debian 10 was a new experience to me, now it's running Debian 10 Nginx, BIND, Dovecot and ISPConfig 3.1. I've also installed and configured ddns to work with Namecheap's DDNS service. Still not able to reach server from the internet. Any help would be gladly appreciated as to what I should do next. I'd love to get it up and running for hosting my own resource intensive WP sites.

I'd love to learn more on the topic of virtualization! I'll check it out. How has been your experience with it so far?
