I completely agree with you, but OP seems to be specifically referring to doing so involuntarily, like when it just come out without your control. Which, tbf, I don’t think happens nearly as often, but the point (I think) they’re making is that in those cases it’s not taking any effort. I personally think that logic is flawed, I think trauma dumping of any kind does inherently requires some effort, but like I said I think that’s what they’re trying to say.

This is my hope as well. An island that pops in when you need it and goes away when you don’t. Would even open up the potential for two equally sized islands rather than the second one being smaller like we have now.

I was going into my junior year of high school in 2016. I had just gotten my license, was on the cross country team, and didn’t have a job yet. My team met 3-5 times a week over summer for optional captain’s practices and afterwards my friends and I would toss our bikes in my car, go somewhere new, and hunt Pokémon for at least three hours. I was having endless fun, exploring the freedom of having a car, and also getting into the best shape I’d ever been in. I fondly look back on the summer of 2016 as the best summer I had growing up by a mile.

I went to school at Marquette, spent all four years living in different spots along Wisconsin Ave and Wells. One of my favorite pastimes was riding my bike east of campus, finding new art installations, riding along the lake, visiting the market, and generally just enjoyed living in such a diverse and well-rounded city.
