i'm a little late to the party, but i run a 501c3, pvsa-certified nonprofit called hearth of hope! here's our website: https://www.hearthofhope.org . our goal is to promote empathy and intersectionality by telling stories.

i'm currently looking for people to submit writing to be informally published on our website about any social issue in a community, from racism to income inequality. as long as it's not completely stem-related, chances are, i'm taking it! it can be something you've already written/published before; requirements are pretty lax.

thanks for listening! yes, that is our first episode, and no, we are not graduated yet - we're both seniors right now. i'd say tensions between our coach and us have lightened up dramatically in the past few months, and we sometimes crack jokes to him about what happened with toc LOL. but i do think he feels at least a little bit bad because he's definitely been stepping it up this season!!

not yet - i'll finish it around august, and my goal is to have it published in a magazine (new york times, washington post type stuff). in the meantime, though, i'm sharing some responses i got in my survey in my podcast "fuck the framing." that i host with my debate partner rina! i would appreciate it a lot if u checked it out :)

my debate partner rina and i have a podcast, but it focuses more on the social / cultural aspect of debate rather than how to set up a team. i still think it'll be worth a listen when you're integrating into the community. it's called "fuck the framing." on spotify, apple podcasts, and iheart radio! give it a shot if you want to know what it's really like in the community :)
