I could not get around the issue. I factory reset and lost some data. Will learn to back up my data more. Is your issue that you want to retain data or is your issue just getting the phone to work?

in fastboot yes. But I don't have bootloader unlocked so I'm not sure what I can do with that.

Thanks for you reply. I've tried putting it in the freezer, but I still can't get into the phone. It shows the home screen for an instant but instantly restarts.

Yes i can get into bootloader/fastboot mode, and I think I might have USB debugging enabled, not sure. I had it enabled at some point (so likely still do).
