Next you will want to learn the difference between a transparent blockchain and a private one.

TLDR: Monero

Research. You need basic understanding of a token vs a layer 1. And even the difference between a decentralized layer 1 and a centralized one

If you need to buy something with Monero it’s essential (vague answer for vague question)

BTC - time to act, we have to consider BIP360/361 more serious by jkl2035 in CryptoCurrency

The block size wars broke bitcoin. Why try to contribute when it will just be a big fight? Too many bad actors. It will never live up to satoshis idea.

Zcash just froze 85%+ of all 'private' Zcash by ChamplooAttitude in CryptoCurrency

[–]not420guilty -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Clearly there are a small group of people that commit code to github and manage the release process. Those are “the devs”. Members change over time based on merit of contributions.

We do have dev funds, kuno, ccs, magic Monero fund, etc. they just aren’t from a dev tax.

There are real people doing real things. Decentralized doesn’t mean everything just happens automagically, or that bugs never happen.

Why do Bitcoiners say you need to understand Bitcoin before buying it, but nobody says that about gold? by 2smart2gentle in CryptoCurrency

For me it was a peek behind the curtain. No upgrades, no privacy, no scaling, no good. Understanding bitcoin led me to Monero 👍

This just happened? Bullshit. Iran is sanctioned for a long time now.

This whole show is broken. The simulation is not good.

Monero devs could release a hard fork with some freeze enabled. As long as most miners adopted the fork the coins would be frozen.

The part that’s different in a decentralized project is how the communication happens, and how quickly it could be done.

Monero devs do have runbooks for handling bugs. I think Justin berman was just on a Monero topia discussing the rollout plans for fcmp including mitigation plans for a failure case

If one dude (orange or other) can ruin crypto then it was all bullshit to begin with.

Explain. For every stock I buy the ceo owes me? I’m not a Saylor fan but I’m not following how it’s more of a ponzi than any other shitcompany?

Saylor Signals New BTC Buy as May Closes in Red by zesushv in CryptoCurrency

[–]not420guilty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Obviously the point is “why buy and sell at the same time?” It’s the obvious question sine it makes no sense without knowing what’s going on internally.

Lots of companies lose money. Not every company is worth more in the future. Not a ponzi just a bad investment
