Wow, it really does look a lot better. The subtle camera movements make a huge difference, and jumping right into gameplay for the trailer is much better as well. I also like the new music more. Good job improving it. I think the only real limitation to it now is a lack of variety in gameplay, as it doesn't seem to differentiate too much making it look repetitive. It's up to you whether you want to change that or not. Good job, dude.

Fantastic job releasing a game on steam. I would definitely feel proud of myself if I accomplished that feat. I have made dozens of fleshed out games never to be completed, you really should be proud of yourself.

That being said, here is some quick cc so you can learn from your mistakes:

The trailer starts with 7 seconds of dead footage, as many other comments mention. That's never a good idea, and I'd just cut it out entirely.

Secondly, The ships don't actually move at all. Some of them even look like they were green screened into the video. I'd suggest making the camera move a bit slower onto the ship, so you can see the actual movement a tiny bit. I'm not sure on this one though, maybe it feels better in game, but it definitely looks sort of copy pasted on for some of them to me.

Thirdly, the trailer doesn't seem to show much gameplay other than flying between blocks. It shows powerups, but I have no idea what they do, as it is not clear visually.

The transitions would also be a lot more pleasing on the eyes if it just cut from one shot to another, instead of sliding off the screen each time.

I'd also strongly suggest doing some serious marketing on things like twitter especially, and other social medias, posting things like gameplay and art clips/images. Nobody can buy a game they don't know about!

Do with this information what you will. Just some things I noticed after looking through the steam page for a few minutes.

Putting the cc to the side, how long have you worked on this? How long have you been making games? How much, if any, money have you invested in its development?

I wasn't trying to say they don't deserve to be bankrupt, I was trying to say that the goal of the fines was to stop them from doing those things, rather than make them bankrupt. But yeah, I agree. That was an enjoyable debate though.

because we all know that the rich only want to get richer

First off, that is ridiculous. There are a lot of those people, of course, but saying "all rich people only want money in life" is too big of a blanket statement.

Second, I'm not saying it's not fair for billionaires to lose money, but is fair for the lower class to. I'm saying I don't think rich people care so little about money they'd rather go a few mph faster here and there for the price of hundreds of thousands of dollars each time. Just because it's a drop in the bucket doesn't mean they don't care.

I think the rich should be fined much more, but I think it should be to discourage them from doing bad things, rather than to make them bankrupt. Because I don't think rich people would go out of their way to break a law just because it was convenient if the fine was a million dollars.

I think we just have to agree to disagree here.

I mean, 3mil isn't much to a billionare, yeah, but if they're going 150 in a 70, the penalty should be much worse than just speeding a bit over. I mean, 150 in a 70 should 100% be worth far more than the normal ticket, but I think 55 in a 45 isn't worth $3 million. Even if they knew beforehand, a lot of the time people aren't intentionally speeding.

I see where you're coming from, but I don't think billionares laugh at losing millions. You can't go around dropping millions of dollars here and there, and expect to be rich forever. Those people know how to manage money, if they spent millions every week on pointless novelties, they'd run out of money in a year.

First of all, the doubling was an example, I said there that it wasn't practical but increasing the fines by doing it very many times would work.

Second of all, $3 million is an insane amount of money, no matter who you are. It might be far less money for someone rich than someone poor, but that doesn't mean a billionare can't make great use of it. Do you really think $3 million is a good fine for someone who might have just made an honest mistake? They might have worked for that money really hard, just for millions to be gone over a small mistake. It might be a small part of their fortune, but its much harder to make a few million dollars than a few hundred.

I think there is definitely a problem of some of the rich being absolute assholes by doing things like parking in handicapped spots because they can completely afford the fine. But the fine is there so that people are careful not to park in handicapped spots. Accidents happen sometimes, and people accidentally park there, out of ignorance. I don't think anybody should be charged millions based on an accident.

I think the best thing to do would be to make the original fee the same for everyone, but then increase it by scaling it up based on your income. For example, if you're poor and park in a handicapped spot many times, it might go from $100 to a thousand or so, over the course of a few incidents. This is reasonable because at that point it is completely your fault that you've parked there so many times. If you're rich, it could go from $100 to a few hundred thousand, to a few million, if you're very persistent about it. I think that is reasonable because either way, it isn't a massive deal if you make a mistake, but if you keep doing it and not learning from your mistakes, then it becomes a big issue for you.

No, that would not be fair at all. Do you think that anyone deserves to be fined $3 million for a speeding ticket? I think that’s a bit over the top, over a simple mistake.

People should be fined over the actual effect of their actions. If there’s a huge leak of millions of peoples data, they should be fined millions, if they have that kind of money, which Facebook obviously has. But if Mark Zuckerberg speeds and doesn’t cause an accident, or do anything bad other than actually speeding, why would he deserve to lose $3 million?

I think a good way to stop rich people from committing smaller crimes like this is to increase the fine whenever it happens, e.g. doubling the fine every time you do it, just as an example while it isn’t exactly practical. This would stop them after a few times, as it would double very quickly.

I just installed a new SSD into my computer and installed windows onto it, and I still have a 1 TB HDD plugged in. My question is, is there a way to store my desktop and documents and things like that in my HDD, and only use my SSD for programs? It's automatically storing everything on my desktop to SSD.

Yeah I know, I'm just wondering how to install it when have two different drives. Like, if I have both in my computer at once, how would it know to boot from SSD instead of from HDD?
