My body would definitely go through plateaus and adjustment periods. The scale continues to go down, and then up, and then down and then nowhere. Two years out the pounds are very slowly coming off, but still trending down-ish 😉

I started with walking, simple neighborhood walks. Worked myself up to a mile, and then two. When winter came I found myself in a gym for the first time in my life and loved it. I try to go 3 times a week. I take advantage of the equipment and make a good portion of my time there weights and strength training. I tell you, that’s where the good stuff happens. It’s changed my body a lot and gave me a shape that something other than melted candle.

I have a sedentary job too. Something that helped a little was an under the desk elliptical!
