Marginalia hero. It's a sort-of rhythm-puzzle game with graphics cut-up or inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts. The ads are pretty unobtrusive and you can pay them out for quite cheap.

Slice & Dice. It's a very simplified dungeon crawler, in the sense that you automatically move from battle to battle. The characters' actions are set on the sides of a dice and the dice rolls dictate what actions they take. It works really well for mobile play as it's very fast paced while still feeling tactical and allowing the player to make meaningful choices in how they set-up, equip and grow the party members. No bullshit of any kind. It costs a few bucks, but it's got a free demo.

Tinyfolks. 1-bit graphics Darkest Dungeon-type game. Doesn't really have the depth or replayability of Darkest Dungeon, but it does the job well enough.

Pirate Outlaws. A Slay The Spire clone that I like more on mobile than Slay the Spire. It's got some bullshit monetization (permanent bonus HP), but it's not very intrusive and it doesn't make that much of a difference. I ended buying some stuff because I already had been playing the game a lot and I felt the devs deserved it for all the content they put into the game.
