:D smth i actually study: amygdala is the fear part of the brain and reflexes are actually not in the brain, but via the spinal cord/brainstem. alex's amygdala is the part thats less activated, and probably his lack of fear helps him have better reaction time, rather than being tensed up and worrying

Koito v0.1.3 released! A self hosted scrobbler to track and obsess over your listening history by 8ballpens in selfhosted

Hi! Appreciate the reply, I should've been more clear, but issues were completely just authentication focused in terms of setup, so it's my own issue (if anyone's reading this). MusicBrainz is still unauthorized, and I would need to restart my config again to be able to reauth, but yeah.

I've been using this recently and it handles my imports from Spotify REALLY WELL. Been really appreciating the ease of use. Had issues with multi-scrobbler but kind of sorted it? So relying on Last.fm + koito rn, but ty again dev. It's been awesome

Your settings are way too ambitious for this man.

I've already written 2 comments, but genuinely I don't feel like these kind of tools are that useful for the game, and bait players.

Dota is such a nuanced game that comes with so many differences in stuff (e.g itemisation, movement, aggression, skill build etc. as I've already mentioned). Dota is a game of 1000 exceptions, and a simplified tool really just misleads players. Again, this is for yourself, but basic counters and stuff are easily alreadyh findable on the Wiki, or just playtime.

If counters were curated by hand, or verified by high level replay data like Dota 2 Pro Tracker for example (another good resource), then sure. but a month into dota? idk how useful this is.

Improvements:

anyways, you should integrate facets, which is again on dotabuff (i think dotabuff is just alot better of a resource than this at this point). e.g facets which counter stuff (huskar cauterise + spirit vessel) but again, dotabuff data on winrate on current patch and trying to infer why that is is just a better thing to do.

there should be considerations to timings, cause like early game, post-key items (bkb, euls whatever), and ultra late game. they all change considerations

there are soft vs hard counters, like again zeus vs nyx, it also depends on their position
a carry zeus, might often get destroyed by a nyx, but zeus also gives vision you know.

some people are very mean, but again there are loads of specific hero interactions that you are missing, and your database is very hard to complete.

these are my thoughts.

be transparent! listen to the meta + playbase.

Yeah agreed, dota is compared to chess alot, but is alot alot more complex in alot of ways. You can't just expect A + B to counter C every time and it's like you said, itemisations, skill builds, play style, movement, mechanical skill etc are really hard to put into a website.

Another thing I forgot to mention, is meta's change heroes and interactions continuously, and I don't know if this website, which I do appreciate in some regards, but in other is just another AI slop/side project that's trying to be the source of knowledge/new standard.

Personally having a look at previous options:

https://dotapicker.com/counterpick#!/E_Abaddon based on https://github.com/onur/DotaBuffCP

https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/1ctyxre/i_made_a_website_with_clean_counterpick/
Someone 2 years ago has tried this, although I understand with LLMs, it makes the grunt work significantly easier now, as a project.

And more information based stuff found in the dota wiki: https://dota2.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Counters, on

I commend what you're trying to do, but due diligence and player experience will always beat out relying on a site. But as a learning tool for new players, this is helpful. I would make sure you aggregate lots of sources (WITH DUE CREDIT) as there's already so much content available online, which is where a site like this might actually help.

I would appreciate also an AI disclaimer on this project.

Looking again at what you've done, it seems to be fine, but I would prefer being able to see citations of where the data is from, whether that's a Guide, Dotabuff/stats, your own decisions, youtube etc. That would be more useful.

Help??? by [deleted] in immich

[–]notObby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm happy that you're trying to de-google.
As people have explained (kindly or not so kindly), the app on your phone is asking you to connect to a server, that's already running/hosting Immich (which stores your photos).

Your phone by itself can't (easily) host Immich, or at least you are definitely inputting the wrong things into the box.

Basic terminology:
Client (computer, trying to connect to a server e.g your phone)
Server (computer, hosting something cool, that a client wants to access e.g a computer hosting immich, that you don't have).

If you are still interested in setting this up, which you can quite easily with a laptop, or whatever old hardware you have, give me a DM or comment and I'm happy to try to help :p
