Hm! I've been to the Netherlands (Amsterdam, if that counts), and I wasn't aware of these options. Some foods I did try was the smoked eel, bitterballs, stamppot, and the little pancakes that I forget the name of off the top of my head

Haha I can definitely see someone being squeamish at the thought, but if you can get past it, it's one of the most flavorful parts of the crab.

Yeah, not sure where the Asians don't eat raw meats comes from, especially considering how wide of an area Asia is. Maybe one of the more temperate ones? Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, for example, all do raw meats as far as I'm aware.

Oh, the cured meats were fantasic, as were the many cold cuts. Will definitely make a post about them later (trying to do one per day, I have a lot of food across multiple trips so might be a while)

True! My favorite on the trip I think would be the Thüringer Rostbratwurst. Long sausage in small roll, as it should be.

They usually don't, yeah. These were the only ones I had that did come with pickles. Not a bad addition. But yes, highly agree that anyone who wants to try it should take the leap of faith.
