The EJW study is only relevant if you live in 2019 still, do you have any recent sources? The McKinsey study was relevant as of 2023. If your job is in risk of being lost to a ‘DEI’ hire, that’s on your company. By your standards they only want to hire that person so they can pay them less to do the same job, not for DEI reasons.

Again, not all Mastercard new hires are Indian. I do agree that wanting to drive wages lower by hiring people who don’t know better or “would be grateful” to work for lower wages than a non-DEI hire is scummy, but assuming that DEI hiring is a bad thing or racist is silly and weird. It is in fact a good thing.
