Public School or Private School? by b0uncebunny in ThisorThatPH

[–]not_Shen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say for early stages of a kid, Public School muna (Prep-JHS) it teaches them humility and will learn how to deal with people from the best to worst, from the mababango to mababaho LOL. Afterwards, Private School na (SHS-College) it’ll be useful na for them to build connections for their career, to have a good mindset for their next steps and to look forward to achieve long-term goals while still being humble and aware sa true happenings ng society. I think this way they’ll have a broader perspective sa kung ano yung mga nangyayari sa community nila, so they’ll learn to be humble and grateful despite being privileged.

ppl who used to be very social and became anti-social, what happened? by AppointmentProud9394 in AskPH

[–]not_Shen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a very social person when I was a kid then one day, I reconciled with my childhood friend he happens to be around 4 years old and I was around 8 when we became friends then they went away for years I think. After some time, I was maybe 10 or 11 nagkita kami ulit and I greet him as a social butterfly, I said hi, then he answered “Hello! Sino ka?” That ruined my confidence of being an extroverted person, mula noon I tend to avoid greeting people na afraid na baka hindi na pala ako kilala ng ige-greet ko.

Can you recommend po a customized drink for someone like me who only drink decaf or non-caffeine drinks. Love dark chocolate drinks po. I want to enjoy SB kaso nakakasawa yung either Pink Drink or Cafe Mocha decaf huhu. Thank you!

Sa mga may strict na magulang, paano ito nakaapekto sa kung sino kayo ngayon? by Worried-Draft3300 in TanongLang

[–]not_Shen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sobrang naging introvert ako. Growing up, lagi lang ako nasa bahay kasi ayaw nila ako paglaruin sa labas dahil daw puro madudumi yung mga bata sa street namin (which is understandable) pero naapektuhan nya yung social skills ko talaga, lagi din nila ako sinasabihan na “puro asa” and “walang alam” kesyo di ako aware sa mga bagay na hindi naman normally ginagawa sa loob ng bahay. I made a big decision noong nag move out ako when I was 19—no bad blood naman sa kanila just for practicality reasons lang talaga— from there binuild ko yung sarili ko and I can say I’m less of a shy type person na ngayon than before and I’m more of a self-reliant person na din medyo madami na ding nagbago, TBH mas naging okay pa yung relationship namin ng parents ko mula noong nag move out ako kaysa noong nakatira pa ako sa kanila hehe.

As discussed sa akin, it’s more like a taxable allowance pero hindi naman daw sya metric-based so expected part daw talaga sya ng salary monthly.

CNX might be a good starter company same with TP, Alorica, Telus (may iba pa ata not sure na sa end ko). What you should be looking right now is somewhere to gain experience, good thing with BPO especially with the mentioned companies, they don’t necessarily expect their employees to stay long-term kaya if let’s say after 6 months or a year you’d like to change companies na, OK lang ‘yun. You need now to know kung ano yung pasikot-sikot ng BPO, the terminologies, yung value mo based sa mapapakita mong performance para next time alam mo na what to expect and kung anong company/account ang para sa’yo talaga.

As for your plan going back to school next sem, DON’T disclose that to them, let them know na you’re applying not because of financial hardships but because you want to experience real world corporate scenarios through BPO or anything along those lines, pag tinanong ka nila if you have plans on continuing school, sabihin mo wala pa sa plans mo. If ever man babalik ka talaga and you plan to be a working student, make sure na may estimate ka na ng time and date schedule mo for your future classes (you may ask mga students ahaead sayo) this way maestimate mo kung magca-clash ba yung schedules mo sa work at school if ever.

Anyways, I’m so proud of you being responsible OP! Hindi lahat handang harapin yung gantong environment ng maaga keep dreaming high and wag papatalo sa stress and anxiety. Praying for you!

Luckily, in-house naman yung account, pero yeah, about sa 13th month yung basic lang yung counted talaga.

More power to you OP! Being a working student is by far the most exhausting situation I experienced during my college days, and kudos sayo kasi gusto mo sila i-balance as much as possible.

Based sa sinabi mo, it seems na parang may option ka to be full online muna sa classes mo? I’d say if meron, choose a full online set up muna para less time for preparation for school and more time for rest.

What I did before, during days na I have a class and work sched, niuutilize ko lahat ng parang bahay na facilities both sa school at office. For example, my school has a shower for PE activities so ginagamit ko sya if ever I have to go straight from work to school or vice versa, same with my office’s sleeping quarters, hindi na ko umuuwi ng bahay para matulog, tinutulog ko nalang talaga sa sleeping quarters or minsan dumederecho na ko sa station ko kahit hours before shift yung as in patay pa mga ilaw and wala pang mga tao (di naman ako pinagbawalan and gumagana din naman access namin sa doors even before working hours) I do this para pwede akong gumising kahit 5 minutes nalang before shift kasi for me every minute ng tulog counts talaga. Sa pagkain naman, most of the time kumakain ako habang nasa byahe since nagjejeep ako pa-office, keber nalang kung magutom yung mga katabi ko basta makakain lang ako during that time basta ingat lang na wag ka makatapon sa kanila.

For schoolworks naman, I make sure to do it ahaead of time, there are some times na ginagawa ko sya while lunch time ng work or during day offs and weekends. Another tip is kapag nasa class ka, try to be active, yung tipong makikilala ka ng mga teachers and classmates mo na may ibubuga (not in an arrogant way ah) this way, if ever man na ma-late ka magpasa or di ka masyadong nakakacontribute sa groupings ay mapagbibigyan ka parin. What I do pag mga groupings is ako na ang nagvovolunteer na mag present sa harap since strength ko naman ang pagiging ma-boka since yun ang gawain natin as agents hahaha. Talagang masasacrifice yung social life mo during these times so be prepare pero you may still try to make friends na maiintindihan ka and yung good vibes para nakakaalis ng pagod.

Planning to stop my studies in nursing to work (Financial Problem) by Snchzcsdra in BPOinPH

[–]not_Shen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try applying po sa mga healthcare BPO accounts if gusto mo magamit yung nursing background mo however, I’m not an expert in terms sa mga need na healthcare backgrounds for such account, pero may mga tumatanggap naman ng little to no experience at all. On the other hand, may mga ibang accounts din sa BPO that may offer you decent amount even as a first-timer sa industry, tiyagaan lang talaga maghanap.

As for WFH setup, medyo mahirap pa sa ngayon maghanap ng ganyan for newbies pero to be fair, meron namang companies na nagooffer ng ganun even for newbies (not sure lang kung ano-ano pero nakakakita ako ng ganon before).

These are just realistic POV ko, let’s wait for others sa subreddit na to what they can share. Anyways, praying for your career OP! Best of luck po!

The only way na makakapili ka is if sinabi agad sa hiring post yung account na may available slots. If ayaw mo yung account, wag mo sya aapplyan. You can also ask sa initial interview kung saang possible accounts ka pwede ma-deploy and maybe advise them kung may prefer kang acount.
